It's clear that I've become the board whipping post. I'm consistent in my beliefs and posts about this staff. We win and I'm ridiculed for being negative and having unreal expectations. We lose and I am accused of spiking the ball and gloating. Every time I post in any thread here now it becomes a dogpile, sometimes to the point of derailing the thread entirely. I've posted inside info for years and when that info turned sour on Sumlin I was attacked as the messenger.

As it stands the board is negatively effected by my presence no matter how you slice it. Nothing good comes from it.

And this largely isn't directed at you, you're consistently one of those who doesn't join in. I'm just tired of being the outlet for anger and venting that some here have made me into. It's like middle school in here these days.

1. As far as I know you've still never shared "what you know" or claim to know about Sumlin. You're just like Tump. I've got info (a plan) and I'll share it with you when the time is right (after I'm elected/after Sumlin is fired). Spill your frickin beans and lay it out in a timeline for me to understand, and allow me to test your claims against actual facts so I can decide for myself (1) whether you're as full of shite as you appear to be, and (2) whether I actually care about Sumlin's morally reprehensible behavior. I frankly don't care what a coach does with his personal life as long as he is effective at his JOB.

2. You go to extremes. You basically admit that in your post right above. Many of us don't disagree with you about firing Sumlin, but you consistently take it too far and make it a part of your very existence. It's just like someone who all they want to do is shite on TexAgs over here.....no one cares nor do they want to hear it every day (that's why they're HERE).

I like you Roger. Youre selling bitter pills to people drunk on kool-aid though. They aren't ready lol.

He was pulled over for DD and it was swept under the rug. Additionally he has shown up to Bright hungover and missed meetings/been late to practice several times for the same reason. I've posted this multiple times before. I've been told he showed up drunk to a recruits house last year on an official visit. 247 would have you believe he cheats on his wife regularly while drinking but I've never personally heard that from anyone.

I still find this hard to believe. CSPD is psychotic. MAYBE true if it was Bryan PD and that's a major maybe.

Also even if it did happen I don't see how it would get out unless the officer said something. Just hard to believe

That's bad for whoever swept it under the rug, but I don't care.

Don't care, except to the extent it has affected our wins and losses. If he wants to kill himself slowly, that's on him.

This is the only thing you have listed that is connected to his primary job - selling this program and recruiting talent. So, assuming this is true, what recruit was it and did we get the recruit?

Don't. fricking. Care. His wife should leave him then, but that's not my issue and I don't want to be the one perpetuating a potentially false rumor.

Wait. You don't care that the head coach of our football team shows up drunk and late to a team meeting?!?!?! A meeting over which he is the presiding figure?!?

Are you fricking drunk?

Do you think nick saban woukd ever show up late and drunk to practice?

Klarvin said hungover, not drunk.

He also has no other details. How can I evaluate something when I don't know when it occurred, the circumstances under which it occurred, and what impact it had on the program going forward?

We don't have nick saban. We aren't getting nick saban. We aren't ever going to get the "next" nick saban, because there may never be another one. So who gives a frick what that short prick would do.

I agree with you to an extent, my point has always been that you better be the next Urban Meyer if you're going to be a drunk a-hole.

As it stands, he's easy to dislike because he doesn't have any accomplishments to go with his shitty character.

Exactly. Petrino, Gillispie, blah blah blah who gives a frick

WIN GAMES. WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS.

I don't think Sumlin can do that here. He's benefited from Texas being down and recruits that were not his own. He has built depth for us that cannot compare to any coach before him, but the fact is we are still struggling, our defense is playing like shite, we are a one dimensional offense for 90% of every game, and we are struggling to get elite recruits to teams that have no reason even being in the same conversation with us (Baylor, Texas, TCU).

After today's game rum wouldn't do the trick. This was MD 20/20 or Thunderbird level bad.

Umm... Current recruiting rankings on 247:

11. Texas A&M
45. TCU
57. Texas
136. Baylor

Come again?

ETA: For 2017 season

Recruiting rankings in November mean as much as the polls do in September.

PLUS, a top ten ranking in the 2016 recruiting classes on 247 had a point rating of 272.54.

Our current point ranking is 226.74, with 23 players already committed. That's basically equivalent to a ranking of 22.

Our final point total in 2016 was 238.94, ranked 18th. Right now, 7 teams have more points than our final total last season - five of those have fewer than 20 commits.

I will wait to offer opinions until signing day. Last year we had a guy or two stolen by TCU, several by Texas and Baylor. Similar outcomes the year before. This year it seems like OU is cleaning up the state.

OK, granted. So we should definitely panic about

11. Texas A&M
45. TCU
57. Texas
136. Baylor

Because any day now #45 is gonna pass #11. Hell probably #136, too. Because, you know, it's November.

Or maybe we should look at the '16 class:

7. Texas
18. Texas A&M
22. TCU
41. Baylor

Still looking mostly good.

Texas won't catch A&M because who the hell knows who is gonna be the HC next year? Baylor wasn't close and will be much further behind because they've apparently given up on recruiting (there's some speculation that this is the current staff's way of getting even with the school, since they know they won't be there next year). TCU are the only one's who have a shot, and I don't think it will be close.

Then add OU to the list because they are nabbing recruits from us again.

You're moving the bar, dammit! Yeah OU pisses me off, too. They're currently #5 with way, way too many Texas recruits.
