Looks like the game ended and a home run derby started.

TCU and tu are both currently trailing. Both went 2-0 to start so them not getting the sweep would be nice.

Baylor lost game 2 to Houston Baptist (who lost games 1 and 3 to BU).
GC wins 9-8 over TCU in 12 innings - that's gotta hurt (I hope)
Rice lost today to Virginia at the UCF tournament.
Sips lose game 3 to ULaLa.
SMU doesn't play baseball? What's up with that?
UH lost game 1 to Holy Cross
UTSA lost game 1 to San Francisco

As far as I can tell Texas Tech (4-0 over Maine) and Dallas Baptist (3-0 over Monmouth) are the only other Texas schools to sweep. They ain't played nobody, Pawwwwlll.

Farmer, who do you think will emerge as the Sarurday starter?

Based on week 1, I guess you'd say Doxakis. I've never been too high on him though. Joz is just a freshman so he'll likely get another shot. The 2 other candidates would be Chafin & Sherrod and I think both are better suited for their roles in the bullpen. We will see who gets the ball Tuesdays. They might be a candidate too based on how things go. Still way too early to tell. I would guess Dustin Saenz or maybe Jack Colon (for Tuesday), but who knows. Both a very talented arms.

They sacrificed baseball to their football boosters in the early 80s.

From Gabe
quote:

• Lefty Dustin Saenz will get the ball to start the game Tuesday night vs. SFA. This young man has the stature of fellow lefties Matt Kent or Chafin or Jozwiak, but it won’t take long for you to see that he possesses something very different than his southpaw brethren. Like a mid-90s bazooka. Saenz burst onto the scene with a spectacular fall season and opens his career playing a vital role of helping A&M control the Tuesday midweek games, oftentimes the difference between hosting a Regional and not, or gaining a National seed and not. • There are quite a few arms that haven’t pitched yet that I know Childress would like to see get into a game soon. Other than Saenz, look for names like Asa Lacy and Kyle Richardson to see action from the left side and right-handers Jason Ruffcorn, Christian Roa, Landon Minor and Jack Conlon to get their shot as the early season progresses. Also, Mason Cole is back from Tommy John surgery early last spring and could factor in relatively early in the year.

Damn, that's a lot of pitchers! I would guess most everyone wants to see Conlon sooner rather than later. Looking forward to seeing what Saenz can do.
