Good series. Your boy today pitched very well. Unfortunately we seem stuck in this horrible approach at the plate.

I was afraid that non-called DP in the 8th would bite us in the butt, and sure enough the guy who reached first scored LSU's only run. I did NOT want to be that guy, bitching about officiating. Fortunately it didn't come to that.
And yeah, it was a good series and I have the same hopes, despite all the vitriol on this site.

Looking back that makes series win #4 in the last 5 years. We’re now 25-20-1 all time.

Rob Childress (on the @LouieB1150 Show) says LHP John Doxakis has been moved up to Friday night start, Mitchell Kilkenny to Saturday. Sunday still open. RHP Stephen Kolek available out of pen tomorrow night vs. Texas.

A quick look ahead at how we finish...
The next 3 weekends are vs unranked SEC teams. If we take 2/3 from each, we climb back above .500 (11-10). If we mix in a sweep then 12-9 and we're right back into hosting contention assuming we don't get out arse kicked by tu, Tx St, ACU, and PV A&M. All that seems pretty realistic.
Right after our "easy" run, this gets stupid hard with #1 UF coming to town and a trip Baum vs a top 4 Arkansas team. We catch a break after that with USC. They have historically played us very well, but they look really down this year.
If we win every series vs the unranked teams (2-1) then avoid getting swept by UF & Arky (1-2) we'll finish 15-15 in conference play. Add in midweeks (guess we go 4-1 with no UH makeup) and we head into the SECT at 37-18 with an RPI in the high teens/low 20s. We make a run in the SECT and we may have a shot at hosting. We'll likely need to win the UF or Arkansas weekends to really put us in position.

Giving credit where it is due (which is really tough in this case), that may be a tall order. The douchebag communists are having a good year.
I'm happy to see the pitching changes for the future, though. I like Kolek, but he isn't getting it done. Dox and Killer have been way better.

Whoa whoa whoa. I refuse to give them credit. The best 3 teams they've faced this year are LSU, Arkansas, and Stanford. They went 2-7. They're 4-6 on the road and have lost series to KSU & LSU. They get us then a 3 game series in Norman right after. If they go 3-1 or better then I will give them credit. Until then their resume is not even as good as ours and a couple on here are questioning if we're even a regional team.
