Does Kary Vincent honestly believe he will play meaningful snaps at LSU after looking at that depth chart?

Devodrick Johnson is a scout 4* and has become a 247 composite 4*. He's still unrated on ESPN but that ranking will determine whether or not he stays as a 4* or goes back to 3*

Kid is a hell of an athlete. He'd find a spot somewhere.

I've followed recruiting for a while and I don't think there is such a thing. It's likley the position change and good evaluations by the staff.

The Sips believe we are getting Jalen Preston (5*, ATH in 2018) and Tyree Johnson (3*, DE)

Sidenote: ACC is launching Network with ESPN and have signed conference rights through 2036. The Big 12 is officially dead.

Recruits need to understand that there really is just the "Power 4" conferences. The Big 12 will be irrelevant by their "money" season (2019).

Sounds like we are the favorite to land 4* PG Victor Bailey.

Well, that decides the question of 'which conference wins the game of musical chairs to be the 4th Power Conference and which one loses?' It's the ACC, with the Little XII left out.

to be fair, booting Baylor and adding Houston likely would help them out a bit.

Dude. If we can pull off a 9 win or better season (and thereby hold onto this class) we're going to have a killer recruiting year - and all this a year after we were supposedly sunk due to the QBs leaving, all the undermining of Sumlin and the angst over Morehead's tweet.

The 2018 class is looking really nice early if we land Jalen Preston. This year will be huge for that obviously

If UTw ever WANTED the conference to survive and thrive they would have lead and/or okay'd adding Louisville and Cincinnati in addition to WV, both so they'd have a bridge to WV and regional teams for them to play, and because that would have added 2 other new states to the conference TV deal fold (Ohio & Kentucky in addition to WV), and because Louisville is serious about being a national contender as an athletic program, and then added BYU to get yet another state and all the Mormon viewers nationwide. That would have got them to 12 members again and would have spread the geographic and TV footprint out across 4 states (WV, UT, OH, & KY) that they weren't in before. Not the greatest conference in the land, but stable, and more TV markets. Instead, they added WV and left them out on an island, and TCU, which is a tiny private school in a state that was already saturated with THREE other conference members and stopped there, short of enough members for a championship game, without enough TV markets for much of a network if UT hadn't already made that impossible by having its own. They couldn't have done a worse job if they'd've tried, which of course they did, because UT runs that ship and they want it as weak and dysfunctional as possible so they can run through the schedule on the way to the playoffs.
