Herman spent the whole time trying to lie to convince himself he wasn't lying as I recall
Pretty much. It's on the intertron if you wanted to listen. Very cringeworthy. At one point, he insinuates that he is angry at Lopez for breaking the story before the normal beat guys because it embarrassed the local beat guys, and, to paraphrase 'there are UH reports who are very close to the program, very inside, and his friends.' It makes you want to scream "don't say that!" Of course they use it against him, because in so doing he essentially admitted that the UH beat guys are TOO close to the program, protect him too much, and that's WHY Lopez got the scoop on them.
It was one of those deals where someone's on the defensive because they're wrong, and they don't have a leg to stand on, so their whole strategy devolves into petty little rhetorical skirmishes like "well define word x". He also created an awful analogy and then beat it to death. So pretty much it was like a Tigerdroppings thread read on the radio, but a D1 HC was involved, which is embarrassing.
Basically, his whole beef was that, as he claims, he didn't meet with Allen in physical person. Not that they didn't talk, not that Allen didn't come to Houston, just that they didn't technically occupy the same room. On that basis alone, he claims that Lopez got the WHOLE story wrong and is a bad reporter and a lair, etc. Of course, any rational person not in bed with UH would see that as a mere technicality at best, as the entire rest of the story is true, came true, has been dittoed by other people, etc (and really, I doubt that they didn't meet in person - they probably did, Herman just knows it is technically a violation, so he can't admit it), Herman is on that one silly point like a dog with a bone the whole time, and at one time totally clowns himself by asking them to "define what a smell test is."

I'm not on premium anymore, but it sounds like Kirk Merritt wants to get a shot a playing WR at A&M.

Add Hezekiah and the Oklahoma OL, then win 9 games and we just might be able to turn this thing back around

I was wrong guys. I still don't trust Auburn.
I am extremely pleased to see Kellen Mond joined the good guys. I am glad my Stone Oak property taxes fed these kids down at Reagan HS. Hopefully, former Reagan Rattlers Trevor Knight and Kellen Mond will get it done for us.

I think Roger and I have one and only one thing in common: we cannot be offended.

Having a solid QB as a ringleader, something we were missing with the 2016 class, is another great part of the Mond commitmemt.

Tate Martell tweets Kellen Mond congratulations. Says A&M is a great school and he is going to love it in College Station. That doesn't support the narrative....

Mazzone didn't want Martel, Tate did what was best for him and so did we.
Another 5'10" qb that is used to drama and Spotlight being upset over not playing was the last thing we needed.
