Yeah, that came out of nowhere didn't it? I knew the academic funding had some issues but that was a bomb. Gov making some moves and coming on the scene hot. Lol you two seem a little too happy about it. That's cold brochacho.
However, I stand by what I said. The wheels will keep on rolling and it will never reach that far. TAF runs tBoot. Dream on bro's

As much fun as it is to make fun of them the state's budget issues have zero to do with LSU football

Anyone who thinks football could be affected by state budget issues is dreaming. They would run anyone responsible for making that happen out of town on a rail after tar and feathering them. Not going to happen

Coaches need to use this as a negative recruiting tactic. Give the kids a sense of doubt

I read that Nebraska used to have a program similar to TOPS and it helped them dominate college football until the NCAA got wise. Wisconsin also has something similar to this and I believe that is why their "walk-on" program (JJ Watt) is so good.
It might not immediately impact football, but it will bring things to the surface. It should also make it harder for LSU to get its' commits relatives on campus with "full rides". It will also likely impact other sports, which will now be forced to offer LA athletes scholarships instead of reserving them for OOS players.
A&M is still recruiting LA hard (some on this board think that is a strategic error), but let's see if this impacts next year's class.
I found an article from NOLA discussing their point of view on losing TOPS and linked it below. "How losing TOPS would affect LSU athletics"

A&M offered Grant Delpit. No ranking, but very nice offer list. Has offers from Corndogs, Sips, and Non-consensual sex U (BU).

Liucci says Marvin Wilson was on campus yesterday with his classmates to watch the basketball game. He met with the coaches before he left. LSU and Bama are leading at this point but hopefully we can make up some ground

God bless that family.
It feels like we are starting to build momentum. Potential for a great 17 class and a team this year that I feel can contend. Mostly due to locker room leadership and those couple coaching changes. Momentum is on our side
