He's gone to filet us next year at Auburn. Just wait. And we'll have no one to blame but our own stupid, lazy, drunk coaching staff.

Mond and Stidham get along, and Ausbon said he wanted to play with Stidham. Yeah, Stidham was living with his coach or whatever, and sure he probably got a truck.

He was a 5* DT QB, getting a truck is so low on the value scale it's really not funny. Do you understand what kind of money gets tossed around? I don't even want to know what we ponied up when the murrays had us by the balls. Enough to alter the rest of our recruiting budget it would seem.

Does anyone believe Nick Saban is asking himself if his RS Frosh want to play patty cake with his next 5* recruit?

We keep blaming primadonna behavior on recruits/players like 17 and 18 year old boys are supposed to be mature and in charge. We pay a guy $5 mill to handle that, and he is too laissez faire to be bothered to keep even one of them happy enough to stay on the roster for the STARTING JOB.

Agree 100%.

We've got a guy who we know has the goods to succeed at the position, he's in our state, he's from our state, his girlfriend, who is beyond hot, is on scholarship 90 miles away at Baylor, and we're going to allow him to go to a divisional opponent three states over???

Shoot me in the face.

And we have guys on here talking about "well... we have other quarterbacks". We'll have a true fish who can't hit the broadside of a barn, a red-shirt freshman who was a 3* (Manziel was once in a lifetime, guys), and Hubes, who is just awful.

I wonder though. How much of Sumlin's "let them do what they want" attitude has to do with coaching style and how much is tied to the fact it is hard to recruit top tier players to A&M so we have to bend over in ways a Bama or a Texas wouldn't?

Ryan Tannehill was also a 3*, as was Jerrod Johnson.

In fact, the only quarterbacks that we have had that were 4* or higher rated players were:

Reggie McNeal (5*)
Kyle Allen (5*)
Kyler Murray (5*)
Trevor Knight (4*)
Kenny Hill (4*)

You sound rustled, friend. what you're saying is stupid on so many levels that i really have no response. What you're saying is a concern, but you've got the carriage before the horse my friend and have no basis to do so other than a misinformed assumption.

If it bothers you that much, consider going back to your safe space suckin your mamma's titty because this seems a little to stressful for you this week

...13-15 overall

So you're right that those guys were also 3 stars, but they also had more seasoning before being asked to start.

Expect a couple more 4 stars in short order

I wouldn't melt over Stidham yet FWIW, Liucci is completely wrong. So wrong I suspect he's lying to his subscribers.

If he goes to Auburn it won't be because we stopped expressing interest.

One of your few decent posts Mr. Klarvin..upvote!

Btw...interesting post on Goodbull discusses Stidham issues.

LINK

I thought the writer did well except for his idea that 2017 was a "make or break" year for Sumlin. Though this is a popular consensus by both fans and media, Sumlin's contract is until 2019. He is getting paid to look at the long view (strategically).

While he may make some choices immediately to impact next season it may be that they believe that position of need is not QB. They have aggressively been pursuing JUCO players at OT, DE, and have pursued Kendall Sheffield at CB.

Interesting thanks for sharing. Liucci has some marching order to curb expectations or lie or something but I thought Hamm was reporting bad news too

Seems like a good young man, shame the program is in such shambles it's hard to get excited about something like this, that and the fact that next highly ranked LB from Texas that actually turns out to be a bad arse will be the first in recent memory

Taylor Hamm is a little fheggot but he's VERY in tune with this current situation, much more so than Liucci. As I've said before one of his sources is my friend who gives me info. Liucci's recruiting info is very superficial these days due to pride (he refuses to "stoop" to the level of going beyond official AD approved sources and is limited in what he is allowed to report). Basically Liucci thinks his product is too big to need timely organic info anymore. He's a program shill, so much so that he has a physical contract Texags signed with the AD requiring them to filter all reporting through AD channels.
