good series

Not sure about their bats, but I was pretty impressed with Fresno's fri/sat starters so they will probably go on to be a pretty good team this year.

Regardless of what some like to think and say...they are still our rival for the majority of alumni.

And stats... stats are very good.

The Maroon and White rank fourth in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings (10.7), fifth in K-to-BB ratio (3.91), sixth in WHIP (0.99) and eighth in ERA (2.01). The Aggies lead the nation with five shutouts on the year.

Texas A&M ranks fourth in the nation in batting average (.341), eighth in slugging percentage (.522) and on-base percentage (.423) and 10th in runs per game (8.5).

Here's another stat I know you'll love.

Boomer: 62 AB, 0 SO.

He's obviously a wizard.

That seems almost like an impossible stat this late in the season. No matter how hard you practice, it is extremely difficult to hit a baseball thrown in D1.

Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing in sports. That fact that Boomer can do it without missing is remarkable.

and regardless of what some people say, we should be playing them every year. People are fooling themselves about it. The demand shows fans want this even if neither side wants to openly admit it.

I wouldn't mind a weekend series but I hope long term we transition to more of a UF-FSU model of home/away/neutral series of midweek games.

It can be hard filling so many midweek games with a strong opponent especially given I'm sure we want to continue to playing certain teams every year (Sam, PV, TAMU-CC though Pan Am seems to be finished with a new coach). But UF seems to still be able to do it so I'm not sure why we can't.

I'd also like to play Baylor more often. Maybe rotate BU, Rice, Houston, DBU and take 2 of those. 3 vs sips. Sam, PV, TAMU-CC. That still leaves 6 mid-week games to work with for other regional schools.

While I like the idea of home and home with tu, I think it would be interesting to do something like OU/OSU does. They play a weekend series at 2 neutral sites in OKC & Tulsa so they can have larger crowds and a mixed crowd. 20K at a game in MMP would be achievable IMO. home-away-neutral would be fun since CS, Austin, and Houston are all just a few away apart.

And I just finished typing that I remember that USC/Clemson did exactly what I just described.

I am not a fan of BU. I would rather play UH, Rice, DBU, & TCU as our marquee/RBI boost midweek games.

Can you imagine what Deandre's 3 point % would be if he had to shoot those?

I thought Will Johnson was going to fill up the entire broadcast with his expository long-windedness.

The Clemons brothers are getting abused. Latest hit went right past the one at third.
