oh wow. What's truly brutal about this is they were in Austin this weekend. They called and committed on the way home. They aren't even home yet

Delance still has us at the top. Wickline is too busy running the offense and defending himself in court.

Last three commits have been underwhelming from a rankings standpoint
I wouldn't worry too much about rankings right now. The twins got their first P5 offer around Mar 1. Since then they've been offered by half the SEC, Michigan, Texas, Arz St, Miami, etc etc
Oliver meanwhile is just now blowing up. We were his first P5 offer. Was told we consider Oliver a top 20ish player in state. AFAIK, none of the ratings sites has yet done a proper eval on him. He's got a placeholder rating only
The sites don't do updates every day and even when they do go back and look, they update when they update. It's quite likely they will zoom up the rankings just due to the offer list tbh. I think the twins will end up as high 3*s and Oliver a low to mid 4*. That's my guess right now.

On Delance per 247
The 6-foot-5, 281-pound four-star prospect says there were several college coaches there to see him.
“We started spring football today,” the nation’s No. 96 overall composite prospect said on Monday evening. “Coach (Dave) Christensen from (Texas) A&M came out there today. I saw TCU, UTEP and Texas too. Some other schools came by while I was in class, I believe.”
After practice, Delance found out that Mineola offensive linemen Austin Anderson and Riley Anderson had committed to the Aggies on Monday so he called Christensen to talk about that development.
“I just got off the phone with coach Christensen as well,” Delance said. “I had seen that the two Anderson brothers had committed to A&M. I called him to reassure him that we still have that connection and that he still knows how interested I am in A&M.
“I don’t want them to give up on me or stop recruiting me because they think I’m not still interested.”
Delance says there is a reason he wanted to make sure the Aggies were aware of his interest.
“That’s a great school and they’re right there at the top,” he said of A&M. “That’s possibly where I’ll end up – it’s one of my favorites – so I wanted to make sure he knew that. He told they were still dying to have me and he just wanted me to know that I have a spot there.
“He said I had the opportunity if I wanted to come on board there. He said he wasn’t going to rush me to commit or anything but he did say it’s a great time to make that decision if I want to.”
Delance, who decommitted from Oklahoma in early March, does not have a timeframe for a decision this time around but wants to be more sure than he was last time.
“I don’t know,” he said as to his timeframe for a commitment. “I rushed into things last time and made that decision pretty quickly, basically on my own. I’m not going to rush into it again. I want my mom to be involved.
“I have to see a few more places just to be sure and get a feeling for everybody.”
In addition to A&M, Delance says a few other schools stand out as well.
“It’s mainly SEC schools,” he said. “That’s what I’m really liking. USC is up there as well. I like Florida and Ohio State too. I’m probably going to take one of my officials [to Ohio State].”
Currently, Delance’s Crystal Ball has 53 percent of the predictions for Texas A&M, 27 percent for Oklahoma, 13 percent for TCU and 7 percent for Texas.

Yeah I'm not worried about rankings at all. I kind of soap boxed on the recruiting board when the LSU fan was flaming.
I think they will all be 4*'s. The Anderson twins will have every offer in the country, and had 250 pancakes combines. 131 and 120. That's insane.
Charles is a BIG corner and runs a 4.4. I like them even if they didn't have profiles at all yet. Definitely agree on the placeholder.
Seems like our staff is a little more confident in our evaluations this year instead of chasing rankings and following others lead on offers.
I like what I'm seeing this year so far.

It really does feel like the staff is doing way more evaluation to me anyway. I know they have always evaluated the prospects but it seems to me they are identifying targets that are not the huge names and going after them more aggressively this year.

Rashard Lawrence, Michael Divinity, & Edwin Alexander are all about to commit to Chavis.

It's a really busy time in recruiting, but no one is really looking to shut it down soon.
I like where we are with almost all of our top targets. I think we lead for Greedy and Eric Monroe. Monroe is going to be a roller coaster until the end though. I do think he commit's to us at the opening, but IDK that it will come with out drama later in the year.

One thing I noticed....We've offered a ton of defensive ends, but mysteriously one of them we haven't offered is Rhassan Thornton out of Shoemaker in Killeen. (Same school as Kendall Jones) LSU just offered him and his HUDL tape is insanely good, you watch it and just ponder how in the hell we aren't going after him but Perroni (24/7 guy) brought up a point that none of the big schools in the state have offered either. You think it's grades but nobody knows. Really good tape though, wow.
Rumor is that we lead for Cibolo WDE Mark Jackson though and might earn a pledge soon. Solid prospect ...6'4 225, but I wouldn't mind getting this Thornton kid.....just my 2 cents. Another guy we just offered...Xavier Kelly out of Kansas is a freak of nature who decommitted from Kansas State when people watched him work out at the SPARQ event and realized how good he can be. I hope we can get on him as well.... 6'5 230, super athletic. But like a couple have mentioned, it's wait and see mode for the most part.
Xavier Kelly
Rhassan Thornton

Anybody know anything about Kendell Jones Jr. And our shot at landing him. I know we're in his top 5. He looks like a monster.
