I presume a 1.000+ OPS is pretty rare for a rookie

Bregman scored his first run of his career (walked to get on) and now bunts in to a double play. Dude is just straight awful at the plate for the #1 minor prospect a few weeks ago.

He's come around a little. Over the last 5 games he's batting .300 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks. Nothing to write home about, but its better than first 8 where he batted .031.

First place Rangers with an RS/RA DIFF of -1. A rather amazing stat. Contrast the Cubs (4 more wins) at +194.

it really doesnt matter if they keep winning but you have to think this catches up with them over these last 6 weeks

It really is a statistical anomaly. But hey, its better to be lucky than good. I'd trade in a heartbeat.

last six weeks of the season is about to get really interesting. This coming weekend series with the Mariners and the next series with the Stros will go a long way to deciding the AL west this year.

'stros are probably too far out of it. We will make a run with a soft schedule to finish Aug, but the first half or so of Sept is a murder's row. Something crazy will have to happen for the Astros to slide in to that last WC spot.

If y'all could get your pitching and hitting in sync you would be a very strong contender. It seems when one is on the other is way off. BTW this time last year the Rangers were 5.5 games back. So a lot can change between now and the end of the season
