What'd tmc say to convince you? ...not that I need convincing

I'll try to find his post in here. I didn't need convincing either but it just reaffirmed it

kinda interested as well

No need to waste your time. What just curious if you remembered off the top of your head.
On a completely separate note, I'm going to interested to see how we close out the running back position. Every other position I feel great about, especially if Malik and Kendall sign, but running back is still a little iffy. Would love to get Kirk Merritt. Can never have too many freak athletes.

maybe we'll actually have a good defense in 2015 and 2016

I can't remember when it was. It wasn't that long ago. I'm having a hard time finding it now

Jeremy Crabtree with a pretty honest article on state of the sips recruiting

A Big 12 assistant who recruits in the Lone Star State said he could see that Texas would have problems on the recruiting trail the minute Strong announced his staff.
quote:
“I thought [Strong] needed to bring in guys that can stand toe-to-toe against A&M, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and all the other top teams that recruit in Texas,” the coach said. “He needed guys that had deep ties with the high school coaches in Texas. Instead, he got a lot of coaches that can win recruiting battles against Cincinnati, UCF and teams like that. This is the Big 12, not the AAC.”

I love Moore. He's undersized but he's Claiborne 2.0 imo. He's the kind of guy you plug in and he just keeps making plays. Very instinctual and lord knows our defense needs some more of that.
This is the only post I could find that may be it

This is not quite all on-topic, but thought I'd post here as it would probably interest all. From a gigem247 poster who chatted w/ BJ Anderson recently:
.
.
.
quote:
No doubt. Was visiting with BJ Anderson before the Abilene A&M Club coaches night on Tuesday. I asked him about all the hashtags and technology and where those ideas came from. He said it was all inspired by Sumlin himself. He called Sumlin a "genius" when it came to figuring out ways to use technology.
.
.
.
quote:
BJ LOVES Zaycoven Henderson, called him a monster. Said "good luck trying to keep that kid out of the A-gap next year. I know. I tried running inside zone against him all spring."
Called Speedy a "ridiculous baller."
Wouldn't handicap the QB race, said you'd have to ask Spav.
Extremely high on his OL, said keeping Cedric for another year was the best recruiting job he's done since he's been at A&M. Trying to get Ced to add a few pounds this summer and Ifedi to lose a few as he moves from RG to RT. He said RG will be a "spirited battle" in fall camp and really likes his group of candidates for it.
Told us about riding in the Swagcopter and said "I'm an East Texas country boy who grew up in the 80s, when I think of helicopters, I think of Magnum PI. This thing looks like a Mercedes." He said flying into a HS game is the coolest thing, because Sumlin and the pilot time the arrival perfectly. The pilot banks around the stadium, and he does it when the officials are at midfield, so that everyone in the stadium will look up and see that it's A&M making an entrance.
Showed pics of the Bright/locker room renovations. Truly ridiculous stuff. He made the pointed comment that recruits won't have to go to Oregon anymore to see the best facilities in the nation.

he gets it. then...
he goes fullbaylor.

I cant believe im fixing my fingers to type this, but A$M is our biggest threat. They're undergoing a 450m stadium renovation which will be ready by the time Lodge enters. It may very well end up being the loudest and best stadium in all of college football. Its also the SEC which A&M is a perfect fit for. They've got an exciting fan base, coach, and offense. I can see why he chose aggy.
he gets it. then...

In all honesty, he'll be the man there. At BU he'll have to wait his turn.
he goes fullbaylor.
