Pretty crazy, and all the crazy is hinging on the UCLA game. If that is a blowout, maybe UCLA kills their third Texas coach's career in a row. TAMU West.

He's not half bad as a tailback for Gilmer, maybe Sumlin will let him do play both ways like in that picture suggests ^^ *grin*

I know he's close with Kingsbury, but I can't see that happening in a million years.

We are far better off with who we hired. Strong is young and innovative. Saban is well past his best days.

$#@! Saban. A whole lot of us never wanted him in the first place and the evidence is in this thread and many others. He's morally shady, older, and wouldn't be around for more than a few years. Strong wasn't my number 1 choice or anything, but hell yeah I'll take a chance with him over Saban. And he's pretty much undeniably a better fit here. Nothing "aggy" about it.

I was saying that from day one. Because we $#@!ing are. We were then, and we are now, and there are huge numbers of reasons why, not the least of which was sending a message to certain $#@! well-heeled alumni that attempting to act outside of the orders of the new boss is not going to get them anywhere.

Strong was my first choice. I'm positively giddy.

Edit: no more, just wanted to share the best of today as something snapped today

And even then, they only won their conference twice in 15 years.

SB Nation sip article

summary:
quote:

Basically, the good news here is essentially meaningless as Sumlin continues to kick Strong's butt up and down the state and then back again.

At this point, a day in which a Texas target doesn't commit to Texas A&M counts as a good day. So it looks like Thursday was a good day! Yup, a good day.
