I don't understand it either. At the same time I feel like if any were seriously hurt we would have found out via Twitter or someone seeing them in a boot on campus or something. I mean we already know what's wrong with Alaka even though they haven't said anything. So I'm not terribly concerned. It is interesting how guarded they are being though

Don't do this to me. Right now I have reasonable expectations, but comments like this give me hope
Then Roger's comments give me expectations of further disappointment.

Honestly, it's not that different than any other season. Sumlin has always been guarded with info.
How many times have we found out by game time that guys are suspended or hurt.

Fwiw liucci said injuries are not a storyline so far in camp.
We're emphasizing physicality so it would make sense if guys are getting a little bruised and dinged up. Injuries happen when you push guys to play that are hurt.
If we know what we're gonna get out of guy, there's no reason to push them if they're nicked up.
Also week one is all about moving guys around to settle a depth chart going forward.

Buddy at work just told me Hilliard has a broken wrist. When did this happen? Am I just way the hell out of the loop?

He's been practicing with a cast on I believe

While not ideal, you can play through that with a cast. I hope he can stay healthy, I really liked the way he looked against USCe in the first half last year. Then again, Mastro looked halfway decent

Does anyone here know Mastro? Guy up and retired. Did he get hurt or just get tired of taking crap for no being quite SEC level?

I know him a little bit. He dated one of my buddies sisters for a while.
I think he realized that he wasn't going to make it to the NFL and his loved for the game dwindled after repeatedly getting killed in SEC games.

I thought Sumlin said something about it 3-4 days ago during one of his interviews. There is also a picture of Hillard with a cast on from one of the practices.

he's been practicing but they are holding him out of full contact for now
The injuries thing is totally normal btw Roger. I have no idea why you're making a thing about it. What did it take - 2 weeks??? to find out Devante busted a nut last year.
Sumlin gives no fricks that pay sites have info to sell you and in a vacuum those dipshits tend to go full fortune teller saying super vague shite so they can pretend they knew all along in case there is something to know. You'd think with how poorly they covered the coaching search (and your complete meltdown based on their info) you'd realize that.
Sitting the day after the first 2-a-day is not a big deal. Virtually everyone will take at least one day off thru camp.

As long as we don't have any players undergoing surgery, tearing an ACL, or with a broken leg, then we are in good shape. And having better luck than some other teams, too.
If we had anything THAT serious, we'd know about it.
But we're talking about practice, man. What are we talking about? Practice? We're talking about practice, man. We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We ain't talking about the game. We're talking about practice, man.

Would we? Sumlin's as secretive as D.B. Cooper.

Sumlin just following the Bill Belichick strategy: there's no benefit in divulging minor injury information about his players.
But even Belichick couldn't keep season ending injuries to Ridley and Mayo out of the media.
I never had a broken wrist. That would seem to be tough to play through, but if he is out there it must be getting close to being healed. I bet he broke it a while back, not like last week. I broke my collarbone when I was 16 and missed 5 or 6 weeks of baseball season before the trainers let me get back on the field.

I broke my wrist after slipping on cow shite in a pasture at night while playing capture the flag. True, incredibly lame story.
That shite healed with the quickness. Not that big of a deal.

I played with a broken wrist way back when, sucks and its hard to grip. But not necessarily hard to play with overall, they will prob wrap it up during games like a broken hand. So he may play with a club but still be effective.

Before evaluating your story, I need to know if you got any shite on you.

Supposedly the defense dominated the scrimmage again tonight.
