The other thing about the new balls is it is probably changing things up for pitchers. I assume it should help hard throwing power pitchers more than anything. Dudes with exaggerated curve balls might be screwed though.

yeah, it definitely makes the college game more interesting
I'm pretty impressed with PSU's sunday starter. He's a freshman and he's got a ways to go but he's got a nice curve and change. Subpar fastball but it's really location killing him on it. Making quite a few of our hitters look bad and yet still getting beat around because he eventually grooves one. If he develops consistency, he could be really good, especially in the B1G
That said, he's a human-delay for rain. I swear with all the pitches he's thrown and his incredibly slow pace that PSU was hoping they could get a midgame lead and let the rain come.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was PSU's actual plan of attack.
after a weak opening game, the 12thMan TV coverage on SECN has gotten a bit better. At least they have figured out camera placement to a better degree. Still a bit slow on some camera changes but overall its a noticeable improvement. The Coach Mark Johnson/Will Johnson team has grown on me over time. Will could be a bit better but he's so much better than Dave South that it's hard to complain. I really like CMJ though. He is pretty much exactly what I want in a color commentator for baseball.

was going to comment something similar. Camera placement has been good. The camera changes aren't as spastic but yeah, still slow. At least I don't get brain melt trying to keep up with what is going on. Most important to me the color/brightness is the same on all cameras (though I think a touch too dark, I'm being picky) because that was driving me crazy
I think the one improvement still to be made is adding the pitcher, pitch count, and pitch speed just below the score. That to me is a great feature that ESPN has but for some reason we're not doing it (I saw LSU fans complain about the same so it may be an SECN standard)

God that's a hard comparison. Dave is better at moving the game along. Will is just so long-winded. He can't finish a sentence because the baseball game, yep baseball, is moving too fast for his verbiage. But at least he describes the game somewhat.
Dave is horrible on radio because it's very difficult to visualize his play by play. But on a televised broadcast he's actually okay because you can see what he's talking about. On tv I'd prefer Dave tbh but it's like would you rather have 1 hand or 1 foot kind of deal. There is no right answer.
CMJ is pretty awesome. He's kind of got that dottering thing going now where he has a random story for everything but it's like watching a ballgame with my grandpa (who played at Rice). He always has great insight into the game and you learn something listening to him, even if you've already heard the story before.

Ags now up to 7-0 and it's looking unlikely we'll play midweek so our next game may well be Darmouth Friday. Dartmouth hasn't played a game yet this year

The SEC Network is giving me access to Aggie sports that I haven't had since I left Texas 15 years ago. I'm really enjoying following the different sports. The baseball team looks good. If we could have knocked in a few of the runners we stranded today, it could've been a blowout. Can't wait for first pitch on Friday.

I haven't gotten to watch much but I really like what I've read so far. We typically would drop one of these BS early games it seems like to a crappy team. I'll be at MMP for the Friday game for sure, possibly Saturday too
