That's a pretty narrow minded opinion to not want to come to a football game Bc you don't like cowbells.

Na.. Our local HS has some kids that put steel shot in propane tanks and shake them. I don't go to the games much anymore because it is so annoying.

I've got no other issues with State.. Just don't want to sit through 3 hours of cowbells. Never fear though. there are near half a million aggies... There should be plenty in Starksville for the game.

Our class is big and talented, but these kids we're still after are the difference between tops in the country and top 15.

Really just Caled Benenoch, Mike Mitchell, RSJ, and Justin Manning -- none of whom are we likely to land.

All the other "big names," so to speak, have committed elsewhere.

Thought Manning was between us and OU.

Manning really likes OU but the fact that he hasn't already committed to them should be telling. I think if we do well this year (7-5 to 8-4) we stand a pretty good chance with him.

Hey guys. Sorry to hijack, but I was looking for info on a recruit from this year.

Edmond Ray. I heard he was in danger of not qualifying, but I saw he is on the roster. Did he make it to campus?

Ray hasn't made it to campus yet and it's unlikely he will.

Thanks for the info and sorry to hear that.

Also, how will your DBs shake out this year? In particular Hurd Jr. and Devante Harris? I have been taking part of the Recruiting board Mock Draft and have all of these guys on my teams. I figured Ray would be huge for y'all this year with the depth at DT.

Toney Hurd has been horribly underutilized under Sherman.

De'Vante Harris will hopefully play more than the other Harris at DB.

Hurd will be the starting nickel and Harris should be the first guy off the bench at DB

I completely agree. Hopefully that changes this year. I feel like there is a lot of untapped potential in the defensive backfield

Interested to see how that FS spot works out. Campbell has been so banged up during his career and was again during the Spring. Right now the Depth Chart has Steven Terrell manning the FS spot with Hurd as the backup.

We really need Campbell to stay healthy and have a good fall.

I think our DB's will be fine now that they aren't under Deruyter's bend but don't break system.

Seemed like 3rd and 25 was the other teams best friend last year. Ridiculous.

Steven Campbell has been SS. Right now, Deshazor Everett is projected as starting FS and Howard Matthews at SS if Campbell is hurt. With the suspension, expect Johntel Franklin to see a LOT of playing time.
