Our pipeline has absolutely nothing to do with the successes and failures of Texas aTm. Neither does OU's. It doesn't work that way and hasn't for quite some time.
I agree with you on LSU, y'all don't take that many Texas players. OU is a different story, they take a shitload of Texas players from us, but that tide is starting to change with the 2012 and now 2013 class. LSU has their own base in LA that can give them more than enough talent.

I have a feeling that playing in the same conference and the same division will change recruiting between LSU and A&M just a little bit....agree LSU doesn't take much from Texas and they don't need to.

I agree. Our emphasis over the last few years has moved somewhat away from Texas, and most see that as a bad thing. That's why our last two years we've brought in more recruiters on this staff, and have started to spread out more, particularly TX. Regaining that foothole again is taking some time but we're getting there in TX. We are really hitting the ground running early with a couple of 2014 kids like Brown and Paris (most think he's all LSU), and Whitley.

As I've said before, here is the progression:
Phase 1. Clearly establish A&M as the SEC alternative in Texas. Success in this phase is achieved by ruining the recruiting of any non-SEC school not based out of Austin. Percent completion: ~75%
Phase 2. Establish a foothold in the states of Louisiana and Florida and start poaching JUCO talent from the southeastern states. Must establish momentum during the regular season (in terms of on the field performance) over a period of at least 2 years for this to happen. Percent completion: ~10%
Phase 3. Establish A&M as THE priority school in Texas. Requires 100% completion in phase 1 and 2 and some help from the Big 12 schools marginalizing Texas' on field performance.

Clearly, you haven't the slightest clue what the "CGSC Lobotomy"...or the "Leavenworth brain wipe" as it's also referred to, means.

The Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS, is where all Army Majors are sent who attend ILE/AOWC (Intermediate-Level Education, Advanced Operations and Warfighting Course) in residence.
The running joke is that, before they graduate, Majors are lobotomized into thinking like a Field Grade Officer (or "drinking the kool-aid", depending on your perspective)

In that case, my prior post stands. You've had too much kool-aid.

I am excited about him. He is an unknown but will count towards our last class.

Yeah he's an early grad so he'll count towards the 2012 class

How early? Are we talking "on campus this fall" or "on campus this coming spring"?

Former LSU commit Kyrion Parker has committed to Texas A&M.

Is that 21 now? We can't have that many spaces left.

I've never heard of Vype Magazine..
Posted on 6/23/12 at 6:01 pm to CavalryAg07
Looks like Vype jumped the gun a bit on him committing. He hasn't made it official as of yet but I'd expect him to be the next one in.
