I did the distributions for 10 mnc teams playing in the mnc over 5 years.

The reason I suggest that you do this for a couple of mnc teams like last year's 'Bama and LSU teams, I hope it will raise your recruiting bar to the level needed for A&M to beat most ranked teams every year, again not to lose to most of them like the last 20 years and the upcommimg year.

gatordmb89 I sign my posts miller58 because I know what is wrong with our A&M football program that we lose to most ranked teams every year and win against only mostly unranked teams and I feel I am banging my head against a brick wall..

It is very flustrating when we have a few football knowledge idiots that post how great our program is on Ag sites continually when the Associated Press very clearly shows we have not even been in the top ten teams in the final poll for the last 16 years and completely unranked out of the top 25 teams for 12 of the last 16 years including the past year.

This upcomming season will make 17 years out of the top ten teams in the final poll and 13 of the last 17 unranked out of the top 25 teams guaranteed and we have some Ags posting sweet nothings about this team.

We have 5 offensive linemen and almost nothing else proven this season. WE will have a very young starting team lacking in four star speed, size and athleticism with a lot of older previous starters on the bench by midseason.

If we dont just start to build a four star defense, special teams and offensive receivers that can catch the ball with 15-20 four and five star recruits this class and the next couple we will be the same team in the SEC that loses to most all ranked teams and wins only against unranked teams for the next few years..

We pay our 7 prime recruiting position coaches bottom of the barrell salaries (texastribune.org), half what tu pays comperable coaches so the good teams get the top recruits, we lose the head to heads and get mostly the leftovers.

We just hired 7 position coaches that one is a good recruiter and the other six have signed 4, 1, 0, 0, 0 and 0 four star recruits the last five years, most almost complete novices.

6 four stars and 22 others lower ranked is our normal recruiting class the last 20 years.

You cant coach 4 and 5 star speed, athleticism and size, only enhance it a very little, you first got to recruit it.

Hence gatordnb89 the

What do the following 4 and 5 star players have in common?

2002-Kelvin Flood (LB)
2002-Quinlan Germany (TE)
2002-Nuradha Manning (LB)
2002-Archie McDaniel (LB)
2003-Jorrie Adams (OL)
2003-Stephen Hodge (LB)
2003-Lamar Mitchell (LB)
2003-Justin Warren (LB)
2003-Jason Jack (DE)
2004-Aaron Brown (LB)
2004-DJ Davis (ATH)
2004-William Morrisey (DT)
2004-Chris Smith (DE)
2004-Paul Freeney (DE)
2004-Jodie Richardson (LB)
2005-Vincent Williams (DT)
2005-Anthony Lewis (LB)
2006-Jarius Neal (DB)
2006-Derrick Stephens (LB)
2006-Brandon Williams (ATH)
2007-Rod Davis (DT)
2007-Derrick Hall (ATH)
2008-Andrew Wolridge (DT)
2009-DJ Jones (RB)
2009-Mister Jones (RB)

A: They contributed virtually nothing on the field in the time they were at A&M OR got worse every year. Notice that there isn't a single player on that list from the 2010 or 2011 class and the only players from the 2009 class are at running back.

I hope so. Still a long way to go. I think if we have even a decent first year we have a very good shot though.

My worry is that he'll be at LSU or Bama if he's so high on the SEC and we struggle this year

Shane expect our record to be one of winning against the unranked teams we play and losing against the ranked teams, maybe 4-8.

Sumlin will do well to develop a couple young QB's, find and develop 4 young WR's that can run routes and CATCH THE BALL, and develop four or five young defensive backs. They all need S&C coaching for a year plus.

The one thing Sumlin could win at this year and next is win at recruiting 15 to 20 four and five star ranked players and unfortunatly our BOR and Adninistration won't approve the salaries to hire talented recruiting coaches.

We are scraping the bottom of the salary barrell paying only half what 7 comperable tu position coaches are paid (texastribune.com).

Things have not been quite on the recruiting front since we got our 6 four star ranked players early.

We have regressed to committing 11 three star ranked players, three of which have already decommitted.

Sumlin inherited 88 three star players signed by Sherman plus what he has added gives us almost a hundred at all positions.

Any more three star players just don't give us the help we need and our staff fails when signing more!

If we don't get 15 to 20 four and five star players this year and next we will still be losing to most ranked teams and winning only against the unranked teams like we will do this year.

Sumlin has to get recruiting results this year and next and has only one coach that can recruit out of the seven position coaches.

I will support Sumlin this year and next if he recruits well 15 to 20 four stars because he can't control what he inherited, or what the BOR won't approve and hope Sumlin gets salary approval to hire some competitive recruiters soon or both Sumlin and A&M football are done until we get a new Board!

Since our junior days signing 6 four star ranked players our rag tag coaches have lost up to 25 head to heads for the players we need to upgrade our #76 ncaa ranked scoring defense and worse ranked special teams.

Head to head losses for top recruits include 6 players to tu, a couple to ou, a couple to michigan, a couple to nebraska, baylor tech, missouri, ucla, penn state, auburn, georgia, usc, etc.

If you had not proved your idiocy before this statement, and that's a big if, you certainly proved it here.

How the hell can Sumlin "inherit" 88 three star players when only 85 players can be on scholarship at one time?

If you really are an A&M fan you need to find a new team to root for because you are a putrid excuse for a fan.

Damn miller, congrats on killing a thread by just repeating the same 4*/5* bullshite. A&M will continue to draw good recruits now and in the future. This should not be your biggest concern.

Gary you simply don't know the football rules yet?

The limit on signed players that can be given Scholarships is 85.

The limit on the number of players that can be signed without giving them scholarships is much larger than 85.

I'll be glad to help you along Gary as you learn more about football?

Tigersessed I simply want A&M to have the players and coaching to be in the top 5 teams every year and compete for the mnc; and for the last 16 years we have been so badly coached 7 years by RC, 5 by Fran and 4 by Sherman that we have not once finished in even the top 10 teams and for 12 of those 16 years we have finished out of the top 25 including last year (Associated Press).

Even your Missouri has soundly kicked our rears the last couple of years, but you will hve to upgrade your thinkng in the sec we count 4*/5* players now not the big 12's 3 star ranked players.

Four and five star players are so ranked because they have been measured at Nike camps, other summer camps, etc. to be up to the 450 or more players faster, bigger and more athletic than the other thousands of high school players.

A quick rundown of the number of four and five star players just before Sumlin arrived at A&M shows the number of these faster, bigger and more athletic players that SEC teams and tu, ou, missouri and A&M signed in the past five years:

'bama 84
Florida 81
tu 81
LSU 78
Ga 69
ou 61
Auburn 59
Tenn 56
South Carolina 48
Ole Miss 30
A&M 28
Ark 26
Missouri 17
Miss State 16
Kty 7
Vandy 2 (rivals)

Notice the top 7 teams except Ga. have all recently played in/won MNC's. I want A&M to recruit well enough and be coached well enough to be in those that have recently won mnc's, .

I am often trying to determine if someone is just being very rude, completely clueless or just stretching the truth with some of the statements they make on these sites.

Tigersessed hope you win all your games except when you play A&M. We will lose to the ranked teams this year, beat the unranked teams; and if we dont sign 15 to 20 four and five star ranked players for the each of the next 3 seasons and coach them, we will repeat the same win/loss process every year.

Tigerseed the reason for the "8 1/2 by 11 notebook" example was I've always been very good at communicatimg down to various levels and in this case I was communicating down to a recent grad!

Have a good evening.

More action on A&M's national recruiting front:

Our rag tag coaches lost their 26th head to head as 4*LB Stan Jones committed to Michigan State.

I was very underwhelmed at our Saturday recruiting scrimage to see only 3 srar ranked recruits there , not one four or five star recruit visiting did I see!

Have a great day everyone.

Never heard of Stan Jones so obviously he wasn't that big of a target.

More will be there this Friday night. A lot more. We haven't even had our spring game yet either.

Still have a lot of four star linebackers as possibilities. What I don't understand is why some our top targets include the likes of Magstrovini, and other guys who I think are reaches at this point.

The purpose of the Saturday scrimages are only to provide a scrimage recruiting atmosphere favorable to potential recruits each weekend.

What you said about good recruits this weekend is encouraging and I'll look forward to checking out the recruits for both this weekend and the M&W game. Last weekends recruits were a major disappointment.

I think we may be pushing for some of these reaches because we are just completely striking out so far for the better recruits since the first couple of jr days that we got the 6 four star ranked commits and nothing since.

Every time this staff commits another three star ranked recruit and not a four or five star ranked recruit that upgrades our program it admits failure!

We must support Sumlin this season because he can't control what he inherited but the first step is to successfully sign 15 to 20 four and five star ranked recruits this year and the next couple and then coach them to upgrade our #76 ncaa ranked defense and even worse ranked special teams.

With only one good recruiter and the other coaches we just hired seemingly novices, I don't expect results. Our novice recruiting coaches are mostly paid bottom tier salaries, half of what comparable tu coaches are paid (texastribune.org).

I expect this staff to be partialy replaced in 2 years again and hopefully the BOR and Administration will approve salaries this time that allow us to recruit competitively.

This has been a BOR/Administration problem for years. A previous A&M Head Coach complained that he had "previously tried to hire a top recruiter and could not get the salaty approved".

The scout A&M recruiting pages show for free up to 80 or more offers all over the U.S. if you want a good free A&M offer source to follow. They are removed from the list after they commit to someone else as has been the case.

Have a great day!
