How is fall practice going? Any surprises or anything interesting happening early in camp?

I like Pruitt, and like most of his assistant hires. I think you guys upset a team or two this year, and will be tougher all around. Pruitt just has a lot of work to do, Butch did some damage. I bet you can probably already tell a visual difference just looking at the players. I know you guys have had to have improved on S&C as well, Butch was not effective in that area of program management.

Edit to add: I responded to DovaVol, but just responding to last post because I figured this did not need its own thread.

If at full health it looks like the o-line could be a strength this year.

QBs look improved- Guarantano looks to be the front runner but Chryst and Shrout still have solid potential.

WRs are athletic but pretty much every practice report mentions a lot of dropped balls.

TEs are a standout group on the 2 deep but not much behind them. But if o line can hold down for pass pro we should have some pretty fun TE play.

RBs seem like a diverse and versatile group. Our run game should be solid.

As for defense: linebackers should be the strongest unit on the team. Both in terms of depth and talent.

Secondary is starting to come together and seems like Pruitt is working his magic to get a good starting rotation by turning somewould he WRs into lockdown CBs. Depth is still definitely a concern.

And our Starting D line should be very competitive but depth is a major issue.

All in all, I’ve gotten really good impressions from fall camp. I think we’ll be decently better on both sides of the ball. We’ll see what that translates to in terms of wins but I’m happy so far.

Mark it down, Bryce Thompson will be a star. He and Tillman were the steals of this class.

I was going to list a couple guys but just went with the abbreviated version. I'm excited for both him and Taylor at CB.

Wood-Anderson also looks like the real deal.

And it's exciting to look through our roster and see a lot of rs-so and rs-jr. Most every position group will be here at least for the next two years unless guys flash enough this year to declare early.

Aight. I like to hear that!

What're your thoughts on some of these guys:

Wright
Bogle
Crouch
Morris (does he stay VOL)

Do you think we still get Bush or was McCollough the commit you were referencing?

The defensive side of the ball is coming together nicely in this class.

Not bad on offense either, the Oline could be baller if we retain Morris and pull Wright.

Also, Ramel Keeton has been tearing it up and Maurer seems like he could have potential.

Beyond those guys, a lot of our WR and RB corp are So and JR; so it seems like we're just loading up on defense and the o-line and then I bet they go balls out next year to get some really talented blue-chip skill position guys.

I think Bush planned on committing this week, then Hill called Pruitt and said he's coming to Tennessee. Pruitt tells Bush we don't have room.
