I think that's a great idea.

I'll start doing the same

Yeah, only 30 pages over 3-4 recruiting cycles is pretty bad.

On why Michigan, Michigan St, Notre Dame and others have not offered yet:

quote:

Missed sophomore year, hurt some last year too and schools are concerned about his durability. Honestly, he's so talented that if he hadn't missed time, he might be a 5-star. He's that good when healthy.

Allen Trieu, scout

He does have an OSU offer.

Tennessee has offered 2017 WR Princeton Fant of La Vergne (Tenn.) High School and 2018 athlete Justin Oden of Spring Hill High School in Columbia, Tenn.

Fant and Oden both had good days today at the TN GrindTime 7-on-7 tryouts in Franklin, Tenn.

I know this is probably a bit premature, but Jalen McKenzie. That kid is huge! If he's as good as it's rumored, can we go ahead and sign him up??

Will be interesting to see if they push for Oden with Kendall committed.

His 247 profile reports a Miami offer, with 3 crystal balls to UT

Visiting for Junior day on the 21st:

Diondre Overton
Mecole Hardman Vols lead
Kellen Deisch parents are supposed UT fans
Tony Jones Jr

Keep an eye on Matthew Falcon. He said he wants to visit at the end of Feb and Callahan already has him CBd to TN.

I'm sure that list will grow in the upcoming weeks.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I thought that I had heard we would only be taking 1 QB this class.

Oden would be hard to pass on if that ends up being true. Dude's got a hell of a build to play D1 Ball (No homo) 6-5 and a frame with plenty of room to grow into.

Some more on Gooden

quote:

The 6-foot-3, 269-pound Gooden - who's ranked by 247Sports as the state's No. 1 prospect in the 2016 class - is a former Tennessee commitment who has referred to the Vols and Mississippi State as his top two college choices in recent months.

quote:

He made his feelings known Monday and Tuesday with a number of tweets about Tennessee. He tweeted Monday night that "you know Coach Butch and them #Vols ain't going to let me leave the State," and he added "#EmmitToTheHill" on Tuesday

I haven't seen any quotes, but apparently a Kentucky Rivals mod thinks Kendall is going to flip to UK in a couple weeks. I think they're jumping the gun.

Here's what VQ said in response
quote:

"Kentucky has been pushing hard, especially since Bajakian left. That, combined with Tennessee taking three quarterbacks in 2015, has him looking around. I will try and catch up with him this week to see where things are. It's also worth keeping in mind that Austin's older brother is a walk on at Kentucky."

- Fortenberry

I don't think there's any reason to panic, yet. But even if he does flip, UT would probably push for Oden or Jarrett Guarantano

Jay-Jay McCargo has received offers from several schools, but none was more special than Tennessee. The junior prospect had the Vols on his radar before receiving an offer in November, which he called 'a huge rush.' 'I've watched Tennessee since I was little,' McCargo told InsideTennessee. 'When they offered, it was something I was kind of hoping for

There is little doubt that Tennessee has recruited outstanding receivers during the three cycles under Butch Jones.

Looking down the road a bit, the Vols could be in line to land one of the best rising junior receivers in the country.

During an on-site interview on Tuesday, receiver Rodney Scott (Miami, Fla./Southridge) praised Tennessee and said that the Vols were his early leader over Miami (Fla.), Georgia and Florida State.

"They pass the ball a lot and they have big receivers," Scott said, adding that he has been in contact with Vols receivers coach Zach Azzanni. “He’s a cool guy, I like him."

Miami currently is his only verbal offer, though more certainly are on the way. Scott said the Canes were his "dream school" growing up, even though they do not currently lead for his services.

Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State also are showing early attention.
