I was part of the Tennessee BOWO back on the AOL message boards and man we had some heated arguments about Sanders back in the day.

I wasn't unhappy when Sanders was fired but I also don't think he deserved the level of blame he received

Quarels would have been a great hire...but I don't think the timing was right for him. I can see him taking the job as HC somewhere in the next 2-3 years. He isn't the type to jump ship from Furman after one season on staff.

He was just promoted to Offensive Coordinator 2 weeks ago. He graduated from Jeff County in '85...so, while he is "over 50", it is just barely.
