Job quality is the most overrated talking point in college football. All that matters is if you have the resources to potentially be elite. If you do then it comes down to the coach and if your administration backs that coach.
There are 7 schools in the SEC that have those resources, but only that has the coach.

IIRC Big Tom said no leaks were coming from the AD. The info he is getting comes from agents/boosters.

Yes but this info shooting it down came from the UT side apparently after talking to people at the LSU game.

I don’t think talk from agents about Gruden would be legit unless it’s from LaMonte. Leaks from boosters may be more concerning.
