I don’t know if “soft” is the word I would use to describe a fan base for a team that hasn’t done much over the last 25 years. Ambivalent? Maybe

One of the posters, Smokeyone, was supposed to be taking over their board and he tried to start a lot of threads to spark interest, but he ended up mainly talking to himself.

Many of the team boards are in similar shape. If LSU leaves the conference y'all are fricked. The traffic on this board will dry up overnight.
