ProtectCollegeSports.org commercials are dumb AF, IMHO

They are lobbying for CONGRESS to fix the mess in college sports (NIL, transfers, joke of “student athlete”, etc.)

We all agree it’s a problem, but expecting Congress to fix it is idiotic. These people have enough other stuff they are already not doing (runaway debt, campaign finance, etc.), and there already IS an organization tasked with managing all this (little thing called the NCAA).

Just seems like an idiotic “solution” strategy.

At this point the government has to do something because the courts have effectively neutered the NCAA, leaving college sports with no authoritative governing body at all.

Unfortunately the NCAA has no teeth to enforce its bylaws. That’s why some random judge in Podunk, Alabama can say Charles Bediako is eligible and the NCAA can’t do anything about it.

The only remedy is a legislative one, unfortunately.
