quote:

"I think about as we're building things here at Illinois, now we're three seasons in a row that we'll have postseason play, which is absolutely awesome and really hard for anybody," Bielema said following the game.

"... If we were in the SEC, we'd probably be a top-15 team. We've just got to continue to stay on track where we're at and do a really good job of holding the moment and putting ourselves in a position to be successful."

If they were in the SEC they would probably be 4-5 with a 1-5 record in the conference.
Hardly top 15.

If only Bert had tried to coach in the SEC. We'd have some form of empirical data

I’m ok with it.
If I saw his wife I’d take a shot at her.

Fair is fair.

Clearly everyone has forgotten about his heroic 8-5 campaign in 2015

Bert started off well enough at Arkansas. There was an upward trajectory. And.... he pissed that away.

He started drinking, his natural laziness got the better of him, and he became more focused on talking shite about how good he was. All while his actual coaching skills declined.

As Wisconsin fans told us... Alvarez was the brains at Wisconsin. He handled roster management, kept Bert more or less on the straight and narrow, and generally kept the program on the train tracks.

We know that Bert would not do well in the SEC. He can't handle the pressure without picking up the bottle. One drink is too many, two is never enough.

He's proof that no matter how stupid, fat, drunk and smelly you are, if you've got over 10 million, Vegas sluts will hang all over you.

First coach in program history to go 0-8 in the SEC.

Most media predictions had Arkansas going bowling in his first year.

His seat was red hot in his second season before the LSU and Ole Miss wins.
