Much better. Look at any ranking. UGA is a top 15 public school in the country. Ole Miss isn’t top 200.

No, no it isn’t. UGA has never been considered a Public Ivy. Nor is it AAU accredited. Being better than Ole Miss doesn’t make you great. At least we realize our place

UGA has a 30% acceptance rate. Ole Miss has a 97% acceptance rate. UGA has a much better law school, business, and pharmacy school than Ole Miss. And UGA very much is a top 15 public school.

UGA is considered a public ivy as described in an updated list from 2001.

Ole Miss also has the lowest starting salary for their graduates of any SEC school. Ole Miss graduates are poor. They generally don’t find jobs outside of the state of Mississippi or Memphis, Tennessee because there is such a huge stigma associated with the Ole Miss degree.

Is the goal of college to prep people for the workforce and be attainable to the people, especially at a state level or as a social club for elitist people such as yourselves to nose down at others? If you have that attitude, why not try a private school that actually has the academic reputation and elite status in the eyes of the masses? UGA is not that. I have heard of many a prestigious schools being brought up in conversations and UGA has never been in that mix. Now, do I think it’s a bad school, no. Is it academically reputable, yes. Well, you sound ignorant. UGA is considered a very good public university by many. I’m surprised that so many of you Mississippi people have access to the internet and can comment on this website.
Many Georgia high school students who don’t have the grades to get into UGA have to settle for Ole Miss. Ole Miss is a safety school for kids that were never competitive.
