He’s a good, not great coach. He’s a great portal player.

Worth what he will get paid? Is any football coach worth millions? Hell no.

He’s an expert troll. He’s doing it to LSU right now.

You’ve come to right place. This board suddenly thinks he sucks.

Then, if he decides to stay at Ole Miss, it will be "see, told you LSU couldn't get a good coach."

He doesn’t suck. He is a solid 9-11 win coach every year. But just like BK I do not think he is a fit for LSU.

Pass.

Two numbers in this are 10 and 11. Both of which get you into the playoff. And you...dont want that?

Coors beer wasn't sold east of the Mississippi river until 1991. This gave it a mystique east of the Mississippi and everyone wanted it. After 1991, people all realized that Coors is very mid.

He made a bottom feeder program a fair to middling program.

your missing the same thing everyone else is missing. Who has gotten good the last few years b/c of NIL and certain boosters stepping up and buying a team?

Indiana
Texas Tech
Ole Miss

Kiffins been fired everywhere else he's been. He came to Ole Miss when it was legal to buy players and his boosters bought the most. He's never been a good football coach. He's mediocre and he will fail quickly at LSU.

In the past 25 years, three different coaches have led Ole Miss to 10 win seasons; David Cutcliffe, Hugh Freeze, and Lane Kiffin. A regular murderers row.

Much like Saban was a good not great coach but an elite recruiter in the era when recruiting was king.

Since portal and nil are king right now, kiffin is in a great place for success.

Lane Kiffin is a perfectly solid coach, and LSU fans have every reason to be buzzing.
Coaching searches are pure, delicious hopium. they give fans a reason to believe next season will be better.

But goodness, the Lane (hype) Train has derailed, flipped, and caught fire.
It’s akin to eBay fever: Folks get drunk on the bidding war and end up forgetting that the “prize” is just a slightly fancier version of what they already had.

From this outsider’s 30,000-foot view, I’m enjoying taking in the frenzy.

He’s done good stuff for OM … but I wouldn’t have classified them as a bottom feeder.
