How about you worry about going and fricking yourself?

Hate to be that guy but he’s in the gap. He’s not leapfrogging over someone. That is legal.

I think most Bama fans have hope. But to quote Red from Shawshank: "Hope is a dangerous thing."

Clearly…. Actually, this will be used next year as an example of what leapfrogging over blockers looks like.

Whatever they decide next year he’s in the gap and that’s legal as of now.

Here are this year’s rules.

quote:

Key rules for defenders blocking field goals:

Illegal actions:

Running and leaping over the line of scrimmage in an attempt to block a kick, regardless of whether you land on a player.

Leaping from a spot more than one yard behind the line of scrimmage unless the leap does not cross the line or land on other players.

Using any player (offensive or defensive) for leverage or to gain height.

Legal actions:

Jumping straight up to block a kick.

Penetrating a gap in the offensive line.

Leaping from a stationary position at the line of scrimmage.

It is legal to penetrate a gap when you are on the ground.. It is not legal to jump over the blockers, gap or otherwise. It certainly isn’t legal to use them as leverage.

You learned something tonight.

Leaping is legal as long as the defender is within a yard of the line of scrimmage and stationary at the snap.

Know what’s not legal? Contacting the snapper.

Know what else isn’t legal? Leveraging yourself while you make that leap.

Two penalties on that play - neither of which were “leapfrogging.”

Only if you’re over the frame of the opponent.

Faced with the image and the actually rule you are still digging your heels in?

He jumped over the line. He used the blockers as leverage. It isn’t a judgment call.

I know of no Alabama fan and I know a lot more
than you , who takes that game for granted and especially
at Jordan Hare. Their worst loss this season was by
10 points to Georgia.

He was in the gap. It was legal.

Hey trust me we got fricked by the refs plenty this year. I have Ken Williams not being allowed to call games anymore to back that up.

Don’t even get me started with the frickery OU got away with in our matchup (which the SEC acknowledged).

You got smoked with a legal play and are grasping at straws. Have fun with that.

Even as an Auburn fan I dont believe OP.

It is known that Bama fans are usually extremely uneasy about playing in JHS. Its not like they are playing an untalented Auburn team. Or one that has quit on the season. Im pretty sure they all know that Auburn is a talented team that can play with anyone. And when you add on the crazy shite they've all witnessed inside JHS, they wont be taking it lightly.

I, personally, dont see Auburn winning. Don't really see it close after the 3rd qtr. But anything can happen.
