Agreed. Recruiting usually isn’t a one year thing. It’s about relationships built over years, influences around you, academic and athletic prestige, depth charts etc.
Some kids wanna stay home, some kids wanna start right away, some kids wanna leave home, some kids wanna be with a coach they’ve come to trust.
It’s not as simple as “we’re number 1 so we’re getting everyone”

I'm just stating the facts regarding the programs bc the post I was responding to was acting like LSU has only been successful for 1 season which is way off base. Sure, LSU doesn't win some of the battles between alot of programs...but let's be honest here. If a recruit isn't biased and all he has to do to choose the best program of the 3, then LSU would win everytime. LSU is the better program of the 3 overall is all I was saying. Idk if we sign Evans or not, I hope we do, but LSU has more talent for him to compete against for playing time at rb than Texas am and prob uga as well...especially if Clyde comes back, which I don't expect him to. We have Emery jr and Davis-Price, who are both elite backs as true freshman, and we have Chris curry who is pretty good himself. If immediate playing time is a factor for Evans, then LSU might not be the program for him. Whoever signs him is getting a good one though that's for sure.

I hope we sign evans bc his film is insane and speaks for itself. He's elite for sure. I'm not going to say lsu "doesn't want him", or "he is overrated and not as good as he's hyped up to be". He's damn good and if he doesn't come to lsu, then I hope he goes to uga bc I don't want LSU to have to play him for the next 3 seasons at tamu. No offense, lol, you have to understand why I wouldn't want him to go to a&m...I'm sure y'all feel the same about him and would rather him go to uga over LSU. Damn, dat boy good.

Winning is a huge factor but there is so much more to it.
LSU has been to 4 NC since 2003.

I dont think hes been that big of a primadonna...everyone says it all the time but what has he really done? Hes never committed anywhere, he hasn't put out false top lists or any of the usual drama stuff.

ive been thinking the same. the national/team recruiting analysts are the ones who have created all the drama with all their pontificating. if a high profile recruit doesnt give them anything to work with, they have to start speculating to appease their subscriber base

Theres like a 100% chance he probably gets the majority of snaps for A&m next year and Jimbos been selling early playing time to this entire class so I think he goes to A&m.

Not a 100% chance. He could get hurt in fall camp like Baylor Cupp did and miss the entire season.
