Y'all, it's January. Misplaced Tennessee optimism shouldn't be showing itself for at least another couple of months. Let dad enjoy the peace and quiet for a little longer, please.

You're the one who turned your thread into a troll fest. Congrats on beating out Valdosta State? Is that what you were looking for?

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Young said he received a scholarship offer from new Vols coach Jeremy Pruitt on Sunday, near the end of his official visit to Knoxville, and he’s already “sold on Tennessee” enough that he plans to announce his commitment to the Vols as early as Friday.
“I’ve canceled all other official visits,” Young said. “I plan on committing very soon.”
Young, who also has heard from South Carolina, said he was impressed by his first look at Tennessee last weekend when he accompanied teammate Kurott Garland, a defensive lineman, in taking an official visit to Knoxville.
“Really, it was the coaches,” Young said. “I’m a person that gets good vibes off first impressions, so when I met the coaches, I saw how down-to-earth they were, how friendly and how they actually care about family, and VFL — Volunteer For Life — the football life they have after, that really stuck to me. I loved that.”
He said the “mentality” throughout the Vols’ program under Pruitt, who was hired last month, also caught his attention during the visit.
“My coach instilled into me — it’s either championship or fail — and I really think that’s how they feel about it (at Tennessee),” Young said. “Even though this is supposedly a rebuilding era, I feel like for them it’s either go big or go home, so I love that.”
Young said he hadn’t heard from the Vols before late last week, when Helton called and “wanted to bring me up for a visit.”
Tennessee’s coaches have told Young that they believe he’s “a diamond in the dirt.” He’s a Georgia Class AAAAAA state champion in the 110-meter hurdles, and he caught 66 passes for 1,562 yards and 17 touchdowns during his breakout senior season.
“They said I was one of the top guys they were looking at, and they were really just glad they found me. It was like a diamond in the dirt,” Young said.
“I’ve canceled all other official visits. I plan on committing very soon.”
Young, who claims to have been timed at 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash, has a couple of theories on how he has managed to fly under the radars of most major-conference programs in talent-filled Georgia.
“I really didn’t do a lot of camps,” he said. “I ran track, so I really didn’t have time for it. Our school, we’re not really known for anything. We had a terrible record my first two years of high school, so I think that’s one of the main reasons.”
He said he also “had a little bit of academic problems” at one point, although he now expects to be “fully eligible.”
But Tennessee doesn’t seem to have any concerns about Young. He said he has talked with Helton and Pruitt since returning home from his visit to Knoxville, and Vols defensive line coach Tracy Rocker visited him on Wednesday. All of them have indicated that Tennessee has big plans for him.
“They said I should come in and play right away,” Young said. “(Pruitt said) just that I’m one of their top guys, (and) they love me, can’t wait to have me up there in a couple months. They’re just trying to make sure I’m OK and everything.”
Pruitt, a former defensive coordinator at Alabama, Georgia and Florida State who has won four national championships as an assistant coach, already has made a strong impression on Young.
“He’s a straightforward guy,” Young said of Pruitt. “He’s honest. He clearly gives respect to gain it. Really, he’s just a down-to-earth guy and he’s about his business. He’s really had that championship mentality — win or go home — so that’s really how it’s been between us.
“He really shows (respect) with his coaching staff and also the players. But when we were in the meeting together, you could actually tell he was focused and keyed in.”
A coach from Auburn stopped at Young’s school on Tuesday, he said, and he received a message from Ohio State on Wednesday morning. But he said no other teams have discussed hosting him on visits leading up to National Signing Day. And even if he hears from other programs, he seems to have his mind set on the Vols.
“They told me an SEC battle would be coming into place, but I’m not even worried,” he said. "I’m sold on Tennessee.”

Sounds like Mr. Young is a recipient of the Big Orange Bump. 247 knows to trust Pruitt's evals going forward imho.
Also lol at the dumbass Georgia fans rtfu itt

Cade is still a 5 star on ESPN and Rivals. He is a 5 star on 247 composite as well. To be completely honest with you. Pittman is a big competition guy which I dig. Our Oline is going to be flat out nasty. I am not sure if Cade can start until his RS Junior year unless he moves around. Right Tackle will be opened up next year, but I don’t see big Cade winning that as a True Frost. 2017 5 Star Isaiah Wilson will get that. He will be a RS Freshman. Andrew Thomas will move to left Tackle. We got a 5th year Senior at Center. At guard, we have a senior coming back, but he might get beat out by Salyer, another 5 star recruit. Big Country Ben Cleveland will be the other Guard. He is a RS senior. He is really going to have to compete his tail off to get on the field by his 3rd year.

Yeah, and us defending our Composite 5 star tackle is the ones acting like idiots. You should be blaming Butch who directly lead to the loss of Cade instead of acting like a butthurt bitch.
frick Auburn
and
LSU
and
Tennessee too

Cade stayed true to Butch/Butch's son while other prospects at the same school stayed true to UT. Hope it works out for him life-wise but OTs need better decision-making skills.
At any rate... I thought this was a thread about Jordan Young?

It was until Coat Hanger and Shaft derailed it.
Apparently actual discussion is not desired on this though, given that my comment congratulating UT on the possible pickup and the eval was met with downvotes.

Fib, the part about decision-making was meant to be funny. OT doesn't require you to be terribly bright (just a bit brighter than other football players) and only a high schooler would think dropping a school because Butch Jones 'was getting fired etc.' is a good idea.
At any rate, I thought it was pretty light and still do.
My serious thought on Cade is that anyone who won't even give Fulmer and company an in-home has told me all I need to know. Cade did that and I wish him well in life.
