Bama doesn’t have a kicker weighing down the star ranking like the Ags. Take the kicker out and A&M has a higher average ranking.

Thank you LSU fan that was a nice thing to point out. Suprising to see too.

Yep pretty sure we have 2 players that are unique needs driving down player avg but Jimbo is recruiting for the needs before rankings. Just happens the rankings are aligning too!!

And average certainly doesn't tell the story. Rather have all solid 4-stars? Or a bunch of real 5-star studs along with just a few "diamonds in the rough"?

A&M is looking at a rather strong close, but it isn’t over yet. Texas is straight up desperate for OL so Banks and Dewberry will be a fight. Harris and Perkins are the two I really want to close with.

This^^^^

They have been getting humiliated, laughed at, and have been the laughing stock of all of college football for over a decade. They are the punchline for almost every college football joke.

Never underestimate that level of desperation

My neighbors are longhorns, LSU has been bad for the past 2 seasons and I can laugh about that.

But at least we didnt lose to Kansas.

They havent taken it really well, so Ive laid off of them for a bit.

I think I'd still lean toward Bama but its going to be close. My guess at this point:

1)Alabama
2)A&M
3)Georgia
4)Ohio State
5)Texas(who knows for this fifth spot)

Heyyyy and look at that. Alabama is number 1 as soon as I type it

Butthurt Bobby Burton and company are doing work punishing players for committing to Aggy.

Walter Nolen (unchanged)
Evan Stewart (down 0.0013)
Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy (down 0.0016)
Connor Weigman (up 0.0012)
Bryce Anderson (down 0.0040)
Chris Marshall (up 0.0091)
Malick Sylla (up 0.0004)
Deyon Bouie (down 0.0008)
PJ Williams (down 0.0007)
Le'Veon Moss (down 0.0048)
Donovan Green (up 0.0035)
Bobby Taylor (down 0.0039)
Hunter Erb (down 0.0004)
Theodor Ohrstrom (up 0.0008)
Martrell Harris (up 0.0088)
Noah Thomas (up 0.0074)
Jarred Kerr (down 0.0154)
Ish Harris (down 0.0040)
Jadon Scarlett (no change)
Mark Nabou (no change)
Ethan Moczulski (no change)

If Perkins commits to Aggy, expect him to lose a star as retaliation.

That's enough to drop him 5 spots in the composite ranking. (from 10 to 15)

I just mentioned this on the other thread.

Bobby Burton almost singlehandedly ended Mack Brown's tenure at sip. He and fat ketch are responsible for the 3* ranking on Von Miller.

Did he actually drop after he flipped or before?

I've never looked into it at all, but I have a theory that they usually drop players after they commit in general to push up uncommitted guys to generate interest unless it would be obviously egregious (like if Clowney committed early... he was obviously the top player that year so they probably would have left him).

Also notice how they are keeping the sips relevant by giving slight nudges to all sip commits. They are clinging to the top 10 at 45 points behind #1 Georgia. They are about 40 points behind Aggy at #2 while having the same number of commits and ZERO 5*. But they are still in the top 10.

Bobby Burton magic.
