Oh god, not the admins! Lol
I understand franks performs well at camps and Allen has had some that he didn't do as well as expected, but both go off of their potential primarily up to this point, as do all high schoolers. You can find plenty of good things said about Allen outside of a few articles, and you will if he goes to LSU. That's my whole point. Don't go off crying to mommy.
I apologize for seeing something fairly obvious and pointing it out. Seriously, don't know where Allen is going but I think he will start or see significant time in year 2

Franks and Allen couldnt be further apart in how they are projected, it was a stupid comparison.
I haven't heard anything but negative things about Allen all summer. The 247 guys also saw how he performed and dropped him about as far as they could in their first rankings re-do. He's just not there to be considered an elite prospect at the moment. Franks on the other hand has tore things up and not just LOOKED the part but performed the part. He's an elite prospect for a reason well beyond being big and tall.

I am not saying he is gonna be bad, just that it sounded very similar in some respects

The difference is you've provided proof to back up my assessment

Except they aren't similar.
Allen's projections have been solely on his size and quickness, with terrible technique and overall very raw ability. Allen got his lofty original ranking based on that, after this summer, 247 dropped him from around 35 to 102 now overall. That's a massive drop.
Franks had the same type of prototypical size/arm strength but that's where the similarities end. His technique and ability is already there, and he showed that much this summer. Franks jumped UP from #62 overall to #21 overall and in line for a 5th star. Quite a large bit difference from Allen.

Agree both have good size. Just think Allen has a chance to improve one day as well. Hey, life is not always fair though

From what I gather, Allen is a pretty good run blocker since that's all JC does. wonder if he would be interested in sliding inside

Sounds like he needs to go to LSU or bama then...

Nah, you can teach pass blocking technique pretty easily. Allen is a definite take and need for Ole Miss. Probably other schools too. Ole Miss is just in the precarious situation of having to replace Tunsil after next year and Allen may not be the best candidate.

well maybe we can snag Little. Starting to sound like willie needs to learn a different sport from what I am gathering

Any kid is a good run blocker in high school when you have athletic ability at 6'7 300

But he certainly gets plenty of run blocking practice at JC, that's about all they do...out of a 4 point stance though.

Bama and LSU were once the top two competitors for him. Both have had him in camp and have backed off of him a good bit, letting UGA and Ole Miss to the race (probably the two most likely landing spots at this point). He's absurdly raw due to the scheme at JC that is 100% run blocking. based on his size scouts sort of assumed he wouldn't be inept at pass blocking. Well he was absolutely inept at pass blocking in both camps. He's still a solid prospect but is nowhere near where ESPN ranks him (because they don't stay as up to date as the 247 scouts on the ground at these camps, which is fair). If he doesn't display better pass blocking at a future camp or get it featured in this years JC offense, he'll be a 3* in whatever class he ends up in. all that said, if he committed to LSU right now they'd take him. Not sure about Bama though. I'm guessing he goes Ole Miss or LSU in the end.

I'd take Allen as a guard, which I think he could excel at, with minimal teaching.

I would gladly take Allen at OM

UGA would be a great place. They are usually deep at OL so he wouldnt be forced into play until he was ready.

Go troll on the rant. Everyone has been cordial until you.

Go be pissy somewhere else. I was being preemptive on the Little front considering every time he is brought up, Bama fans come out of the woodworks to talk about how much of a lock he is to them.
