Why does Alabama have trouble getting studs out of MS compared to LA?

Alabama has been pulling some huge prospects out of Louisiana the last few years, it's not looking as good as it did in previous weeks but they're still getting some guys.

The last few years they have pulled out all the stops to get some Mississippi prospects and have failed (Conner, Hampton, etc). Why is this?

Egg Bowl vs Iron Bowl A lot players in Mississippi want to stay in state.. They seen all the history and play with other players that are now in the game etc.

Louisiana produces more top level talent than MS, LSU cant get them all is it really that hard to see.

Louisiana produces way more talent than MS so of course LSU cannot sign everyone look at states like GA and FL they have a great talent pool but players still get plucked away

Because LSU recruits nationally and there are always "extra" kids in LA. There are generally 2-3 national quality players in MS and they rarely leave the state.

Sabans connections, more talent in La, LSU recruits well nationally and can't get them all.

Bama used to do well in MS- Norwood, Johns, Woodall, Lawrence, etc.

Freeze has locked the gates.

It sounds better that Freeze has frozen the gates.
