Probably because he weighs 380 pounds.

He'll be a beast if he can get down to 325 pounds and maintain his strength. He's a good kid too.

He’s rated right where he should be. He’s already on campus so he should be ready to contribute in the fall. Summer is going to be a bitch for him though

I love seeing O bring in these Polynesian players

Dude is a player but is WAY overweight. Gonna take him at least a year to get in game ready shape for SEC ball, which is why Bama passed on him in the end.

Early on he really wanted a Bama offer. I wanted him too and think we should have signed him. If he works hard and loses about 40 pounds he is gonna be a monster. Great pickup for the tigers.

Polynesians have an uncanny ability to carry more weight better than anyone else tbh

He’s gonna have to drop more than 40 lbs in today’s age of spread offenses. The days of Mt Cody at NT are long gone. Dude needs to drop 60 plus. Gonna take awhile, if it ever happens at all. Which is a shame because he really is a great player outside of the weight issue.

Bama didn’t pass on him ... they did slow play him a bit but he had an offer on the table.

Alabama would not have signed him.

What?

Why comment stupid shite like that?

He's a great athlete and has to shed a few pounds in the off-season.

How is getting a 4star trying to "inflate" our recruiting rankings? And how did that even make sense to you when you typed it?

Ika shouldn’t be a 5 star that’s why. He is an extremely good 3-4 nose tackle but he not a top 50 prospect.

It's the truth.

I'm sorry it hurts your feelings, but it is what it is.

Wayyyyyy overweight.

Bama was on him early, then the weight went out of control and he couldn't commit.

He is at least two years away from contributing or never if he doesn't get his weight down.

Could be the next Matt Elam.

He needs to lose a little weight but he already moves incredibly well for a guy his size. Dont see why people are saying he needs to lose like 50 pounds.

Tyler Shelvin played at 6'3 360ish for us this year at NT. To me, Ika moves even better than he does.

Haloti Ngata played around 340-350 or so at Oregon. Some people are just kind of freaks.

If this board was not for trolls, Montgomery Hill would have been nuked long ago.
