But you are already a shoe-in for three in a row.

biggest flop of this years class...dude is all about himself and has no brain. Classic washout. Congrats on Kamara. He will be the next big thing at Bama

The only thing you really lost was 3 badass OL's, I'm sure Bama has the backups to get it done.
Yeldon, and a quarterback with 2 NC rings coming back, most of your defense coming back... and loaded with 5 stars in backup positions to fill any holes left by graduation/nfl... you guys are stacked, remember, 2012 was a rebuilding year for Bama, and still won it. You had a loss in 2012, but in 2013, you can actually do it without having to hope other teams lose because you'll be undefeated.
Unless Ole Miss creeps up on your... with Nkemdiche...

I'm sure it's been said... but in case it hasn't, I am watching Shawshank... so I ain't reading everything.
But, what I was thinking was.... who the hell cares? 3 out of 4 is a really hard number to argue with or even question.
Change the formula if we have to or need to when people expose what we're doing and can adapt. Until then, don't TOUCH THIS shite.
btw, have we HAVE had some legit pass rushers. we just aren't forcing risky blitzes into our quarterly routine... especially for big games.

I think Saban addressed that a little at his post-NSD press conference. They were looking for speedier guys to contain, affect duel threat QBs. I think he found them in Allen and Foster.

A&M has the opposite problem.
We've had at least one elite pass rusher on the team every year since 2008. We can't get interior linemen committed and qualified to save our lives, though. On the rare occasion that we do, they go and smoke pot or pull a gun or some shite. Hopefully with the sheer volume of stud DTs we signed this year one or two will make a longterm impact, but I wouldnt be shocked to see all three get arrested together for grand theft auto in September.

The football Gods have forced a lack of a dominant pass rush on Alabama for the unmitigated terror that was Derrick Thomas.
Dalvin Tomlinson will be a speed rusher.

Adrian Hubbard should be decent this year.

This. When Bama plays us we'll either be starting 3-5 true freshmen along the front seven or a bunch of redshirt freshmen and a sophomore coming off of back surgery. There is a scenario in which we will start ONE member of the front seven that beat Bama in Tuscaloosa last year.
The only reason I'm even hopeful is the game is at Kyle and Bama's defensive speed isnt enough to keep Manziel from running around like LSU's. I fully expect them to rush for 180-200 yards though.

I assume this was made in response to Vanderdoes choosing Notre Dame. We have some talent we brought in last year that has not gotten a chance to play much. Also, Allen and Liner are big additions for the pass rush.

Tim Williams is nothing if not a pass rusher. He could be your guy. Will need a LOT of work to be an all-around LB but one thing he can do is get to the QB. Dunno much about the Jonathan Allen guy but looks like he also fits the mold. Denzell Devall from last year comes to mind.

We can hope, but remember this time last year everyone and their brother had already added Robert Nkemdiche to our commit list.
Believe it when he signs on the dotted line a year from now.

quote:Well the difference in next years game will be the fact that Bama will start with the run and end with the run. Not letting JFF will be the key. Who am i kidding though, it will be impossible for A&M to stop our O. We just have to make sure we can stall out A&M drives early and get a few 3&outs and make sure we get 7. I could honestly see the game starting off for us like it did for the Aggies this past season. Also, with Mosley taking on an every down role as well as having a load of 5 star lbs we should be fine.

Yeah Tim Williams went to to the right place cause I think Bama can develop him into a beast.

We have about 5 solid pass rushers, we just don't have a Jadeveon Clowney or Jarvis Jones. Then again most NFL teams don't either.

our D is not about sacking QB, our D is about stopping the run and effecting the qb thru our scheme, not sacking him.
This.
Saban runs more of a Parcells/Belichick 3-4 which is about being fundamentally sound, keeping plays contained and forcing a team to drive the length of the field on you. Bend but don't break. Notice that we don't bring a ton of blitzes, and when we do it's maybe 5 rushers.
Sacks are nice, they're just not a priority in this scheme.
