What he said. Fournette is amazing, he is almost as good as AP in highschool IMO but right now, it's honesty all hype till he performs on the field.

Russell Shepard had one of the top 3 nastiest HS film I've ever seen and he busted in college. Also George Farmar from USC..

Wait till they perform like clowney to say who really is #1

Hand simply because of position, a great OL can make an average RB look really good, but an elite DT can change a game in one play. Truth be told if Fournette doesn't pick LSU the only thing hurt is the Tigers pride. RB is not an area of weakness for them.

If you ranked them in order of who I'd want the most:

1. Watson - Franchise QB with Cam Newton athleticism

2. Fournette - Grades higher than Watson IMO, but the QB position is simply exponentially more valuable

3. Hand - As some said, not as good as past DEs, but still a helluva prospect

No its about to become a huge area of weakness for us. Two of our major backs went to the NFL this year. We are left with Jeremy Hill, Alfred Blue, Terrance Magee, and Kenny Hilliard. All but Magee could potentially leave for the NFL after this year. We NEED Fournette.

Love Watson, but no. He's definitely a much superior passer at this point though

No you need a rb but it doesn't have to be Fournette. He is great and obviously you take him but I am saying with the OL talent at several sec schools a less than Fournette back isn't going to hold LSU or Bama out of a national title game. As much as it pains me to say it especially with our recent run of great success at the position, the role of rb seems to be diminishing in that you can get really good rb 3/4 rounds into a draft. If I had to choose between ROBINSON or Fournette, give me Robinson all day.

EtA: My perspective could be influenced by our need for an elite OT and pass rushing DE. Something w have lacked since Marcel Dareus went pro.

It doesn't change the fact that Fournette is a rare RB in the mold of AP. Yeah, you can get good production out of decent backs, but when you have a special back, he can change an offense and the way a defense prepares for it. Fournette is one of those franchise backs. Give me him over anyone in this class

That's your decision and I respect it but look at the '13 draft.

Fisher was a 2 star.
Joeckel was a 4 star.
Lane Johnson wasn't ranked.
Warmack was 3 stars.
Jonathan Cooper 3 stars.
Fluker was a 5 star.

It's just as hard to predict Oline as it is skill positions.

With that being said I would take Leonard in a heartbeat but I think both are future All Americans.

I honestly believe Leonards the type of talent that can take over games and win them damn near single handily ala AP, McFadden, Ingram etc..

No matter how good the LT he'll never take over a game and win it for a team.
