Based on what?
I'm not an employee of Tidesports nor am I one of their football sources so I have no idea.

Rumor is Sunday, but i'll believe it when it happens.
If it does happen, I am going to park my car over at ITAT for the evening and revel in the meltdown. Operation Red Dog Part II will be born on that day.

Just read the whole thing on Tidesports, they're pretty confident.

They must know something I don't. Did they indicate that Malzhan leaving was a big deal? With the stuff about Dyer coming out, I figured that any chance we might have had with Yeldon was promptly extinguished.

I posted the Tidesports info on the last page.

you already know how much of a priority Daphne running back T.J. Yeldon has become for the University of Alabama coaching staff. It appears those efforts are paying dividends with the Crimson Tide making up huge ground on the 2012 five-star Auburn commitment in the last two weeks. In fact, multiple sources told TideSports.com on Wednesday night that Alabama not only pulled even with Auburn in recent days, but may have actually taken the lead.

They made a big deal about us placing back to back running backs in New York for the heisman ceremony. I think Malzahn leaving can only help us and that's probably what they are assuming as well.

Yeldon to Alabama?
In fact, multiple sources told TideSports.com on Wednesday night that Alabama not only pulled even with Auburn in recent days, but may have actually taken the lead. At this time, TideSports.com is projecting Yeldon to sign with Alabama.
While it's true that UA running back commit Kenyan Drake had a tremendous season, being named the Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, the Crimson Tide really needed a prototypical Alabama running back, and Yeldon fits that mold perfectly.
How this affects Justin Taylor, who tore his ACL and missed most of the season, remains to be seen.
The second reason a Yeldon flip would be significant is perception. With Alabama preparing for an appearance in its second BCS National Championship Game in three seasons, sending a Heisman finalist to New York for the second time in three years and flipping one of the top running backs in the country, it could be a perfect recipe for the Crimson Tide as it heads down the stretch for the 2012 class as well as making a huge impression for the start of the 2013 class.

If I was a running back, linebacker, or DB, I would want to go to BAMA. We are Running Back U, Linebacker U, and the only program that can rival us on stud DB's is LSU.

I'm just skeptical because if Dyer does end up being done at Auburn, Yeldon would be all but guaranteed the starting job there as a freshman. Something really major must have happened if he is willing to pass that up for at least 1 year, and maybe even 2, as a backup at Bama.

Well he would be an early enrollee so he has the chance to gain big playing time if he chose Alabama. Lacy would be our #1, but it'd be a battle between Hart, Fowler, and Yeldon for #2.

I have a feeling that Fowler will never rise above 3rd on the depth chart. I love the way the kid runs the ball though.

Who does Alabama close with?
I'd say this:
C. Jones
T. Dixon
E. Goldman
J. Winston
A. Taylor
J. Jenkins
but I'm holding out hope for (and we have reason to be optimistic for) the following to be included:
L. Collins
TJ Yeldon

I'm a fan as well.
I think he will get legit carries next year though. I expect to see a 3 back rotation.

I would agree 100% with you on every bit of that.
