Unrated JuCo CB, DeCarlos Nicholson commits to Mississippi State

I see no one bothered to post about this guy, nothing to brag about right? Then I took a closer look... LINK /
DeCarlos Nicholson - Unrated CB 6' 3" 200lbs with a laser timed 4.3 40
This dude is big and fast. All his offers have come late over the last month after going to some camps. So, where has he been? Trying to play QB in JuCo and it just wasn't going to work. He moved to CB in the spring so there is no film on him at DB. None of the services had him rated yet (maybe rivals as a 3) but based on what a 247sports guys said (he said 88 rating for him) I expect him to be a high 3 on measurables alone. He obviously has a long way to go to learn a new position but they don't make many 6' 3" 200lb 4.3 guys and State will gladly take him!
I think he was given a choice DB or WR during the spring and this is where he has landed. I am sure he will get another rating after he puts some games on film.

Yep and not a single F**k was given. I see why no one posted about him. This is exactly the guy we should be discussing, unranked with size and speed off the charts and no one has a clue about him.
We all can go to 247 and see rated guys, no mystery there, he a five star, guess what he good. Oh well, it is what it is.

If he plays really well this fall teams better than you will steal him away. If not you get to keep him congrats I guess.

I agree with this 100%. Kid is an elite athlete, but unproven as a DB. If he plays well this fall, his stock will blow up.

Getting mad that no one commented on the thread is really stupid. He has a nice size-speed ratio and was alright in shorts at the Ole Miss camp. He’s down the list a little bit but we may press him if we miss out on some kids we have ahead of him.
“This is the exact kid we should be discussing” but literally no one knows anything about him so there isn’t anything to discuss. Start a topic on the MSU board if you want to hear how great he is.

So not only did you know who LSU was hiring in baseball, you also know ole miss’ recruiting board.

12 dudes at the 2018 NFL combine ran a 4.3x
If by some chance he can actually ran a 4.3 he must totally suck at football to remain unrated.

Yeah he's a dynamic talent and a hard worker from things I've read. Oh and 247 and the other advertising agencies concerning MSU recruiting, are irrelevant.

If he plays and blows up in the ratings, it coukd be a fight for State to keep him if he gets stronger offers. I do think the early signing day changes how quickly teams fill slots.
I don’t know if any bigger offers will come even after he has some games under his belt. He has a lot to learn and must show a lot in a short time and he is a Juco.

Did dude play at all in High School? That could be a reason why he isn't rated at all.

He went on to score more rushing td's than any RB in the SEC, including Mark Ingram in 2010. Darius Slay was also a low 3 star from juco and ran a 4.3 at the NFL combine and became one of the top CB's in the league and led in interceptions one season.
But I guess the ratings were right after all

I'm saying they miss scouting lots of players every year because they're too busy brown nosing programs and their bidding for the top 150 guys.

You can't MISS someone running a 4.3x you dumbass, its a number on a piece of paper that everyone looks at for every recruit, and if they see a 4.3x they are gonna look at them in more detail than a normal prospect.
