Idk about you, but I'd be tickled pink making tackles, blocking punts, getting an all-inclusive trip to Miami, sec ring, nc ring, etc. etc. etc. As a true freshman that is. I'd have higher expectations as a sophomore.

Tim Williams is rated as a top three prospect in Louisiana by Rivals and 247Sports. So, I guess it stands to reason "you don't know anything about recruiting".

What does this even mean? Who expected a freshman safety to earn significant playing time for the national champions? I find it hilarious that lsu fans point to his stats this year and cry bust.

While we're at it, go ahead and list all of the lsu freshman with more tackles than "I play special teams" Landon Collins. Ill wait

Aight.

Jalen Mills - 57
Jalen Collins - 30
Deion Jones - 23
Lamar Louis - 13 (1 short of Collins)
Kwon Alexander - 12 (played in 7, started 2/7 before getting hurt)

That's all though, there's a few more in the lower teens (including Corey Thompson who got an offer because LSU missed out on Collins).

Edit: Here's my source. LINK

Landon Collins own brother which is a for sure 5 star recruit for 2014 has already eliminated Alabama and is a heavy LSU lean. So what happened there with the tide? How much will you guys be bragging about getting an overrated Williams when we get the number 1 player in the country?

We'll be printing T-shirts for another #1 ranked signing class.

Do we need to list the number of draft picks the last few years. They are pretty even. Or the amount of pro bowls? Alabama players must peak in college.

I want both threads, the one here and on the LSU board, to die in a blazing fire.

Vincejr please go back to the tiger rant or if you have to vent your hatred toward Alabama go to the SEC rant. Flaming, especially terrible ones, are not for the recruiting board

I'm hearing that we backed off this guy due to him being a grade risk.

Good pickup. We've been knowing for about 2 months that he is leaving the state. He just doesn't want to stay in LA. He's had nothing but good things to say about LSU, but he has it in his heart to leave. I thought it was going to be Miami, but Bama is a good fit for him as well.

He seems and sounds like a good guy. He's stated he wants to play OLB. We would've had him at DE, so he really should be in a 3-4. I think 3-4 + desire to go out of state + Bama's recent success made for a perfect storm for him to go there. I wish him success and hopefully he doesn't get processed.

You have to respect a guy who doesn't lead anyone on or drag anything out. He's said from the start he wanted to go out of state and up to this point kept his options open. He was always truthful about his intentions and you have to appreciate that.

LSU is taking 8 defensive lineman this year and Williams was not in the top 8 according to Haley. Lots of smoke of off the field issues and work ethic that factored into LSU backing off. If LSU wanted him he would have committed weeks ago. Its paysite info and for the respect of the moderators i'm not posting anymore. Yall remember us freaking out about Landon Collins last year. In case you haven't noticed, no one gives a shite about yall taking Tim. He will be processed after his first year. I'm just glad yall aren't getting Matthew Thomas or Reuben Foster.

Tim Williams is a good kid. He never once led LSU on and we never did the same with him. This was one of the weirdest recruitment's I've seen in a while. LSU coaches backed of for some reason and then he starts posting pics of Miami's stadium on twitter

I have to admit, I didn't even know Bama was going after this kid. I figured it put us back out in front after the Miami deal a few days ago. Great pick up for you guys. He's going to be a good one.
