5* CG, #3 recruit in the country

AU currently leads the Crystal Ball projections with 8/11 (73%)

Others are Memphis, Oregon, and undecided with 1 projection each

Would be Bruce’s biggest get at Auburn without question.

Memphis is going to hit with sanctions more than likely and Penny will be gone, since he is the cause as well. I cant see a recruit going here in the near future

You would think things like this would deter more kids away but you would be surprised how many buy into whatever the coach is trying to tell them about it not being an issue.

LSU is going to take Moussa Cisse from Memphis too

I don’t know if they’re going to get sanctions, but Memphis has to be a tough sell right now with Penny squandering that top class. Johnny Jones couldn’t sign anyone worth a shite (minus Mays) after he wasted Ben Simmons and Blakeneh

Yeah unless Memphis wins the AAC tournament they arent going to the big dance. Awful lot of talent wasted Penny brought in, although the Wiseman situation didn't help. Kind of a gut check he only got suspended like 11 games and he decided to just quit the team

Edit - I also didn't realize DJ Jeffries got hurt and is out for season, that's actually pretty tough to overcome when 2 of your best players miss all of conference play. They probably give Penny 1 more year assuming the NCAA doesnt really do anything to Memphis.

Yeah, 6-5 after he went out compared to 15-5 with him.

Slater predicted Memphis so I gotta assume that’s who it’ll be.

I hate this "crystal ball shite" and the games that pundits, as well as the recruits, play. Take the visits, think and pray over it, and MAKE A DAMN CHOICE! This game playing in recruiting is as bad as politics
p.s. Pretty sure he is coming to AU unless memphis pays him a lump sum this week

You should really blame the fans who eat all of this up. That is the only reason its reported like this.

Listened to Gary Parrish today and he sounded like he would be pretty shocked if he ever plays a minute of college basketball. Cautioned Memphis fans not to get excited even if he signs with them.

I would be pretty surprised at this point if he ever plays college ball.

ETA: Unless he is just really messing with people to stir up some confusion before committing somewhere.

He’s going pro, either overseas or G league who is offering upwards of $500k for top prospects to play for them for a year. Downside is they don’t play in games, only practice with the team. Green, Clarke, Todd, Suggs etc. have all been contacted. Clarke has come out and said he’s staying with UK, not sure what the others are doing.

So Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress (ESPN) is saying Green is headed pro. Not surprising tbh

That’s what one of the “insiders” was saying but that could change.
