Great pick up.

Didn’t feel good about this one but still the hopes were up a little due to baseball. The Aggies didn’t get him either so this one is a wash. Kinda

And the hilarious thing was he was considered an aggie lock… until Schlossnagle took a promotion in Austin

But they’ll all tell you they’re tooooooootally better off without him:

ETA: looks like the aggies found this post and it made them start crying

Going to fun to see if he can play at a high level in both sports. Good pickup.

This is not true. He was initially Fong'd to Oklahoma

Then Us

The Oregon was the team to beat

Then LSU got in on the conversation

Then Texas was his choice.

Don't troll the recruiting board.

Imagine thinking baseball matters in this recruitment

As a 2 sport athlete, baseball definitely mattered. Schloss leaving A&M for Texas absolutely helped Texas. Was it the main force in his commitment? Probably not. But lets not pretend that it didn't have any influence.

His brother Nick Williams was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the second round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. Nick has previously played in MLB for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox. Jonah’s family might also like the MLB rout for him.

Yes, that’s why he’s seriously considered Oregon and USC at different points in his recruitment. It does not matter.

Oregon has made it to 2 straight super regionals... USC is a baseball blue blood, probably the most historic college baseball program.

Serious question... Why do you think Jonah used all of his official visits on A&M, LSU, USC and Oregon in June, then out of the blue in July (after Schloss was hired) he requests to make an unofficial to Texas?

Because Texas is a high end football program in his home state coming off playoff appearance that has always recruited at a high level

Like almost every two sport prospect the importance of the other sport (it’s usually baseball) is being way overblown. But you can’t use the Schloss thing to troll on here if you admit that. I’ll be shocked if he plays baseball in college for more than a year or two

If he didn't care about baseball, he wouldn't be playing it

I personally wasn't even trying to troll by saying Schloss helped this recruitment, but you're obviously so insecure about him leaving A&M that you took it as a troll.

I believe Texas football going to like this one.

He’s skipping senior year baseball to enroll early for spring football.
