Meh. Kiffin stock piled QB talent at USC. He will find someone in in this class or the next.
And it will probably bust just like at USC. If I were Stidham trying to choose between playing for Kiffin or Kingsbury it would take about two seconds to make that choice

I don't disagree that he brought some good talent to USCw, but he absolutely Franchione'd(yes, this is a verb) it into the ground. That point isn't really up for debate IMO.

Max Browne isn't a talent?

We didn't hire Kiffin to be a head coach. We hired him to do something he's had success doing...coordinating an offense.

Where has Kiffin had success coordinating an offense? Steve Sarkisan was the offensive coordinator under Pete Carroll, not Kiffin

Actually Kiffin was the OC in 2005. The year they set all he records. But I doubt anyone here will give him the slightest bit of credit, citing talent at his disposal. As if he won't have any to work with at Alabama. And for the record, Sark took over as OC when Kiffin went to Oakland.

You'd be on our side of the conversation if he was still coaching at Tennessee
I actually feel like I'm quoting a Tennessee fan circa 2009

He has been an awful head coach. No one has argued otherwise. But even Tennessee fans can vouch for the work he did with Jonathan Crompton in one season.

He's brought in talent and has done shite with it

Did SC not have a solid 10-3 season in 2011? Look, I know people want to see kinks in the armor for Alabama. But he's not going to be asked to manage the entire program at Alabama. He will either use the talent at his disposal and have success or Saban will make changes like he did with Applewhite in 2007. It's that simple. That being said, is this move any different than unknowns like McElwain or Nussmeier? Other than the baggage with Kiffin because of failures as a head coach.

I am only looking at the offensive numbers. They've been pretty consistent. He got more out of Crompton than anyone. UT's best offensive season since 2001. He had some good offensive numbers at USC, but failed as a head coach and lost that team. And then there's his two years as OC at USC in 2005-2006. There's reason for optimism, but lets not forget that it is still Saban's offense that will be run. Things haven't really changed from Applewhite to McElwain to Nussmeier, other than a few wrinkles. I doubt there's much change with Kiffin either.

That's hilarious considering that's been BAMA fan's (and LSU Miles' haters) go to argument as to why Miles has been successful @ LSU.

Why should we? You pointed out a few posts above that he will run Saban's offense. What makes you think he had a hand in Pete Carrol's offense? Carrol's offense seems to have been pretty successful lately. Kiffin's version, not so much.

Kiffin will run Saban's offense. I really don't get what the big deal is and why so many people think Kiffin will fail at being an OC. Both Nuss and McElwain were nobodies until they were hired by Saban. Nuss was a glorified clipboard holder at Washington and he did pretty well at Bama. McElwain did well enough to get a head coaching job after his time at Bama. Only difference I see is using the TE more and having more production at the wide receiver position.
In terms of recruiting, I am willing to bet we land at least one five star on the offense. Given time Kiffin is a phenomenal recruiter.

Kiffin is the reason you don't have Town right now. Let that sink in.

Will somebody provide a link for that info? I've heard it repeated ad nauseam by message board posters, so surely there is a credible source reporting that. Can someone link an interview where Town said it?

Supposedly, if you believe rumors, Sark was the real architect.
