If Bama gets Shaun Hamilton, would they go after Tre Williams? What is Bama's plans with him recruiting wise?
Seeing very little about him from your side

He is going to Bama, unfortunately

Bama's top ILB target, and one of their top targets overall, is Zach Whitley. I assume Kwon McMillian is #2, and Tre Williams falls somewhere after. Bama wanted Bryson Allen-Williams, but couldn't top USCe.
Petera Wilson, Gavin Bryant and Vincent Jackson can't commit, Bryant's scholarship is contingent on getting his grades in order(I've heard 1.something GPA). Then athletes like Ronnie Clark and Tyler Luatua, who can also project at LB.
I agree with the sentiment that Bama/Auburn split Hamilton/Williams, with Bama likely landing Hamilton.

How many do you plan on taking and who do you project base case?

I've guessed 3, I think that's fair based off need.
Realistic best case:
Whitley(Ranges from A&M lean to not wanting to stay instate)
Hamilton
Bryant
I think they like Bryant enough to give him a late S&P agreement offer, even if he doesn't get his grades straight. I could see 4 in that specific scenario, along with the aforementioned athletes.

So unless something changes/ weird happens
Tre Williams is kind of ours to take if he ends up in state? I can deal with that considering Rashaan Evans probably ends up at AU too if Hamilton goes Bama
Does your staff really rate Hamilton that high? I feel like there are other guys that are better you are in it with. I don't see Hamilton being the pinnacle of talent this year

I'd say Auburn or even UF currently for Williams based off what's out there now. That's just me, but there isn't much pro Bama. He is coming to A-Day, so that could quickly change. Jarrick Williams is his cousin, but I know Dameyune Craig knows a lot of his family too.
Smart loves Hamilton, whatever size issues they had early on was the lone thing that stopped them from offering earlier. He was smaller weight wise, and around 6-1 is not exactly Bama's listed requirement for ILB(though they break their own rule constantly).
I think Hamilton has a shot to overtake Williams instate, he's been outranking him already in recent camps(though both were invited to Rivals 5*). He's stepped it up physically, Mike Farrell said he looks like Foster on the hoof. Getting up to 240 hasn't hurt him any, as he was getting high praise for his coverage ability at Rivals Hoover. I think the best is yet to come for Hamilton, and I say that regardless where he ends up...

I compared SDH to Reuben Foster prior to NSD 2013 because of his disruptiveness. Their blitzing and gap shooting are pretty similar.
SDH is choosing Alabama, BTW. It's 100% going to happen.

Yeah all the 247 guys are switching their predictions.

I think that's the pre-announcement consensus, though day of switches can hit a recruit.
It's not a bad instate LB class with the likes of Hamilton and Williams heading it. Ronnie Clark could end up moving up positions, and Rashaan Evans could end up moving back positions. Then you have De'Shaun Davis, Gavin Bryant, and TJ Posey with SEC offers. And even the deep sleepers in Nick Holman and Torrence Brown(Thin, but can hit).
EJ Moss could be included if he played LB fulltime. He has given up on being a college QB for a big team, but is still holding onto playing offense. Dominant in limited snaps defensively...

I don't EJ Moss ends up in this class. I see him like the Cameron Toney kid. Could of commited at the beginning of the process but waited too long. Sucks because I think he would be a beast as a ILB. Id rather have Hamilton for what we do at bama between he and Williwmas. Williams seems faster but I see Hamilton like a Depriest who can stuff the run. Too bad Gavin Bryant has grade issues because his film in great.

Congrats on the pick up bama

Deshaun Davis just committed to AU so i think that takes care of any thought of where Hamilton goes.

I've always loved him as a recruit. Is he a take for you since I have heard ya'll lead for him

What position would you recruit Williams for? He plays a different 3-4 position than Hamilton right? Forgive me about my 3-4 ignorance and how this cycle's recruits fit. I can't ask questions on your board about stuff like this

Honestly I hope we let EJ Moss takes his spot.

Also, not on LB talk, is Racean Thomas a take for you or is that going to be a last minute decision?

I think we are waiting for LF.
