13.2.3.3 After Completion of Senior Year. An institution may arrange for employment or employ any prospective
student-athlete (regardless of athletics award winner status), provided the employment does not begin
prior to the completion of the prospective student-athlete’s senior year in high school. (See Bylaw 13.12.1.5.1.)

So if he waits until after graduation, the job thing looks to be within the rules as long as it isn't a no show job like the Oklahoma Car Dealership incident.

Ya, lets hope he doesn't get caught boozing at a hawks game too.

Anyway, it results in a better team. More power to him if recruits are too stupid to see it I suppose. They are the ones that pay for it, not saban. There has always been a price to pay for stupidity in this world and maybe it is better for the recruits/players to learn it early in life.

If a kid, with the advice and support of his parent's and HS coaches decides to roll the fricking dice with Saban/Bama and sign on the dotted line over other schools, then so be it.
Saban's recruiting tactics have been broadcast all over teh freaking world for years by jealous folks. It's common knowledge how he recruits, and how he runs his program.
Yet, here he sits with possibly ANOTHER #1 recruiting class just waiting to sign their names on NSD to play for the ole devil.

The kid seriously needs to consider other schools. If Saban does this to him this year there's no reason why Saban won't do it again. Since Saban loves to over sign the kid must go to another school. I can't believe the kid is that naive and or his parents/handers are.
I sort of feel bad for the kid because you know Saban will screw the kid over next year. I hope for the kid's sake that other coaches are contacting him.

Saban has never denied a greyshirt.

Woud you rather go work at McDonald's, or wait a few months for an opening at Commander's Palace?

Uncle? Auntie? Grandmomma? Guardian? School guidance counselor? High School Coach?
Everybody's got somebody they can get advice and guidance from.

How many greyshirts has Saban denied?

I meant if his advice and support tell him to do something else.

LSU fans really shouldn't be in this argument.
You've had issues each of the past two years that resulted in LSU pulling scholarship offers...
Miles is just as bad.

This board would be a better place if people looked up the rules, before spouting off about what they think the rules are.

His long time friend is president of the NCAA for crying out loud. He knows the rules inside & out.

It's a freakin choice the kid has to make, period. Nobody is forcing that kid, or any other kid to take a greyshirt. He can sign with any program out there that wants him. I feel sure he's had multiple offers from other programs. He is free to go elsewhere if he doesn't like Saban's terms.
