Well When Lawrence is killing it as a true freshman and Daniels was the #2 Pro style, you expect to get some sort of similar return I guess.
Most people aren't Lawrence of course

Daniels wasn't an early enrollee, expectations shouldn't have been as high for his true freshman here, but of course they were

Wasn't JT originally a 19 kid that moved up a whole year to be part of the 18 class ?

Kind of. He was a year old for his high school grade, so the reclassification got him back to where he was supposed to be
Either way, not going through the spring with the team like most QBs do nowadays should have tempered expectations

Their QB situation is why I wouldn't be surprise if they rebound.
They always had issues at OL. That BYU game is going to be difficult for them.
But Darnold was able to carry the team. When Jack Sears played he looked like that QB.
JT never did. Daniels supposedly was the better QB. Stanford and Texas took his confidence away.
If they get improved QB play they can win and a lot of these recruits could look at SC.
Like I said the problems are still there.
Especially on the OL.

4* Florida RB crystal balled to LSU. Keyvone Lee.

Isn’t he high on the Florida board?

No one should read too far into these things IMO. It's May and kids are fickle, more now than ever before

McGowan supposedly gave OU his verbal now. Will make it public in the coming week or so.

LSU will just have to flip him from OSU then since he already committed to the Buckeyes.
It's funny how perceptions change. A little over a year ago, I was thinking LSU could be in trouble at RB. After signing Emery and Davis last year y'all seem stacked.

I still think Davis could turn out to be the better of the two backs, and I really liked Emery.

There are rumors that Helton and co didn’t even pick up the phone for Steele and he’s totally incompetent. Everyone has recruited well at SC except him. I don’t think it matter how they play, he will lose recruiting battles.
I also don’t see a turnaround. The culture there is completely eroding. Like in house fighting, insubordination and lack of S&C training. Unless Harrell is a total alpha, they are toast.

Steele was committed to USC.
I have heard a lot of things about Steele
Supposedly LSU ended his visit early.
Texas stopped all contact with him.
When he decommitted from SC there was the rumor that one of the SC insiders was giving Steele benefits.
I am going to wait and see how he turns out.
Because people at Florida are saying they made him quit. He talked a lot but when time came to show he couldn't man up on a WR

Are you saying Steele wasn’t a take? I don’t get your point; it’s off topic. Helton gets outworked. He slow played Tauanu’u and made a last minute push in the last cycle and there are other cases. That shite doesn’t work now. If you think not returning calls isn’t indicative of a problem even if you have no room, it’s dumb and arrogant. You don’t piss off kids from Bosco if you’re on the West Coast.

Calling recruiters lazy because they missed a recruit is a false narrative.
Steele was committed to SC. I get it that since he is at Oregon you want to believe everyone wants him.
But...he tapped out at Florida. Couldn't handle playing big boy football.
So whatever happened between him and SC I have no idea.
But I do know when he entered the transfer portal USC said they didn't want him.

Steele came on and talked in a podcast. Helton got outworked. Tauanu’u’s mom came on and said the same thing. Do you want me to list more? Plugged in national analysts like Biggins said he was all SC and there was mutual interest.
I am sure Helton thinks all his incoming sub 85 composite dbs are better than Steele. He’s also too good of guy to process some fat on the roster. How naive.
Helton fricked up bad last cycle. He doesn’t see the changing landscape of recruiting. He even said in his presser for early signing day that recruiting is different on the West Coast. He doesn’t get it.

They have a target on their chest.
Problem is for Oregon is they won't be able to fill the vacuum because they don't want that target.

True story. I think it was USC Rivals or something. The guy was unhinged. USC then cut bait.
Texas quit talking to him when they figured out he was full of shite.
