Milton moved up his official to OSU to end of this month. It will be his first official now, before his LSU trip on the 7th.
There is a huge split on if having the first/last visit is good although I think that doesn't matter much with summer/spring visits.
Bjian Robinson is supposed to visit mid-June, so Milton is visiting before him as well now (intentional or not)
Also, OSU (as of now) is expecting to get a commit from the #1 WR in the country on the 31st, so some are saying Milton and Fleming may be planning a splash together.
I have no idea, but the info is in the first line, the rest is my commentary

Hearing that DAWGS may be going to "Plan B" as it doesn't look like MILTON will be part of their 2020 class.
Think we end up with Marshawn Lloyd and one of McCowan or Bigsby to round out the 2020 RB class.
FWIW, also heard MILTON posted a slow 40-time in the 4.7 range.

Yea heard that too. Not sure it matters for a 17 year old, or really so much in the college game. Guys who run slow 40s have been very good college backs (hell UGA had one last year), but it won't translate well to an NFL look in 4-5 years.

calm down your banana. I predict MILTON to the Buckeyes - the depth chart looks much better for him there.

I think McGowan is picking OU

This... It shouldn't matter *too* much at the college level. Certainly would love to have more speed, but there have been plenty of backs who made a name for themselves in college who were not burners.
I think for UGA though with already having Kenny McIntosh in the last class, they may prefer a bit more speed in this class at the position as well. Doubtful they'd turn Milton away (that would be ridiculous), but also not likely to exert huge calories on him if he's trending away either at this point if there are other guys that they might evaluate similarly but offer a bit more speed upside. I think Lloyd had a 4.6ish time IIRC and offers pretty good size at 5'11" and just under 210... may try and opt for someone who offers a bit more of a change of pace speedster role.

so assuming Dawgs get Lloyd as their #1 target, who is their #2 that you believe we could land? McGowan? Bigsby? someone else?

Think McGowan is all OU.
Georgia has enough in state talent to wait on a late bloomer at RB.

That story was already written.
Milton is a decent RB though.
But he has this idea he deserves to be a every down RB.

A lot of them change this perception over the course of their recruitment.

Not when someone is giving them the chance.
Ohio St needs a RB and they are selling this.
Plus Milton left room open for USC. Only 4 OV.
USC has a big year I wouldn't be surprised if he used the 5th OV there even if he commits to Ohio State or whoever.

LSU will just have to flip him from OSU then since he already committed to the Buckeyes.

This is probably accurate... We will likely try to stay in the mix with a lot of kids because recruiting is pretty fickle, but outside of Zach Evans, I'd say that next tier is a lot of similar... I like Lloyd, but he's not leaps and bounds better than the other guys in that mix of dudes behind Evans.
Bigsby certainly is a good one in state. Kobe Pryor picking Clemson this early likely hurts, my guess is the staff wanted to see a little bit of his Sr tape before putting him in their sights. But there are plenty of guys in state that are talented at the position.

I think everyone would be absolutely shocked if USC had any kind of notable season, in fact I'd say most people would be shocked if Helton was still the head coach there this time next year.
They really screwed themselves over keeping him 1 more year, the California kids are high-tailing it out of there.

USC's problem is USC.
Their entire Athletic Department and their boosters get in the way too much.
JT Daniels? Guy shouldn't have been starting.
Kingsbury and then Graham Harrell made it known they pick the QB.
With a real QB SC can win 8-10 games at least. They have one in either Sears or their true freshman Slovis.
Don't underestimate them if they allow the football people to make football decisions.
That team is still loaded at the skill positions.

It seems hard to believe the head coach didnt get to pick who his QB was.

That is college football for you.
Some head coaches are able to quiet down the people around the program
The ones who fail cannot. Usually people around the program who think they know more football than they really do.
JT Daniels was delivered to Clay Helton and USC.
He didn't have a choice. The bad thing is that Daniels wasn't ready for that stage. Took his confidence away from the beginning.
Either they go with the confident QB or JT Daniels can regain his confidence.
I wouldn't count them out on any player in Southern California.
The chances of them winning 10-11 games is small because of their schedule.
but they have the talent to do so

Suprisingly Missouri is in on Evans. We are a "childhood favorite". We have a great reputation in Texas too.
