Chose Texas over Arkansas and the G League. UCLA was also in the mix.

Played high school ball with Anthony Black.

yep, that’s what I’m hearing

good thing we hired RT to keep our 2 five stars that were committed..

one is going to Australia and the other is likely going to Arkansas

We did however get Abmas to commit out of the portal.. that guy can shoot

On a related note, with the portal the way that it is now, the two five star players we had this year barely played for us.. and if they are one and done types, perhaps portal recruiting is more important than high school now..

But damn, Holland looks good.

100%

This year convinced me. Freshman talent only goes so far.

100%

I think Muss learned from his go get the #1 class and load up on freshman move last year.

It’s also what will likely get Cal fired this year. With the portal and no more sitting out it’s easier to get good veteran players and those are better than true freshmen. I think last years scrub vet team was better than this years #1 recruiting class.

I don't think that was his initial goal. We got Pinion, Ford, Dunning jr. early. Then once we got NSJ the dominos started falling and we ended up with Black and Walsh. Can't turn that down. I still think we were legit contenders with Brazile and NSJ healthy. NSJ just didn't have enough time to develop and get in the flow with the team. The team we saw in Maui was better than the team that beat Kansas.

I still believe they would get blitzed by UCONN.

If only Arkansas would stop running into these types of teams.

A better idea would be to BECOME that type of team

We had only good teams that is the problem. Disappointing that last year didn't reach that level of greatness. Had everyone stayed then I believe it would be an elite team come November.

I'm not a fan of the one and dones but I'm pleased Muss is going back to his bread and butter.

Looking like it might be a merry flipmas for Arkansas fans. Biddy normally doesn't roll with a pick until he has some solid intel.

Is it really going to be back to back years Arkansas lands the #1 recruit

This is just what I have heard.. maybe it’s true or maybe it isn’t..

Holland wants to play at Texas

His handlers think that he should go to Arkansas for 2 reasons.
1) They requested more NIL
Arkansas agreed to pay it. Texas did not.
The handlers make more if he goes Hogs.

2) Arterio Morris (2022 5??) talked a lot of shite as he walked out the door on his way to Kansas a few weeks ago. There is doubt that Coach RT can coach Holland the way that he needs to be coached.. aka Negative recruiting:

So really there are just three options at this point.
1) Texas pays Holland and he stays with Texas (5%)

2) Texas doesn’t release him and he is forced fo play at Texas, play D league, or fight the case with the NCAA (5%)

3) Texas releases him and he signs with Arkansas (90%)

For all I know, Texas already released him. But it I was in charge, I wouldn’t release him. He was comittsd to Texas for well over a year, he knew CB wasn’t coming back.. he publicly said he was staying with Rt.. and then HE SIGNED.

Then he bailed and left us in a bind. I could honestly care less if he plays at Texas, but he shouldn’t be allowed to play anywhere else this year

Rant [OFF]

Quit acting like a poor and pay folks and you won't be in this situation. Your entering the SEC next year and its time to act like it.

Beard would have got them to pay it. RT is sadly a beta.
