don't really see why that if worthy of 3 laughing emoticons. its never over until the loi is signed and faxed in. the kid just flipped his commitment of a year, what exactly makes you confident hes not gonna flip again, especially after auburn posts another mediocre season?

I have no dog in this hunt. It certainly is a big deal for AU, but not for UA.

I know what you are saying, or at least I believe I do. However, The same cannot be said for their fan base.

There is still another season for him to watch. While Bama is playing for another national title in January, Auburn will be in Nashville or Memphis and the fact that he is committed to a 7-5 school will sink in. He can get playing time at Alabama or Auburn, but he will only win a national title at one of them. Living in Auburn while getting stalked all over town will eventually creep him out and Saban will seal the deal in February.

This is exactly what is going to happen.

I'm pretty sure that's probably what happened to Yeldon too.

Dixie said a month ago it was going to happen. He and I had a conversation about it in the now-defunct Bama recruiting thread.

All the AU people thought he was trolling them.

I love that people think records of teams have a big impact. Kids have said repeatedly that the records of their school before they get there means next to nothing. In this case they all know that AU can win big, they have before. And these kids think they can be the ones to take them there.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve really put a lot of time and thought into where I want to go to school and continue my football career. I am blessed to be in a situation where I have several great opportunities and I appreciate everyone involved who has helped me get to this point.

I want to make an announcement so I can put this behind me and get to work on the things I need to do to prepare for college both athletically and academically. I am going to enroll at the University of Alabama in January. I have a lot of respect for Auburn, the coaches, and all of the people there, but at the end of the day I feel like the University of Alabama is the best situation and fit for me and my family. I am 100 percent confident with my final decision. I feel great about it and I’m excited to get started.”

If he did just reread the Yeldon line, I will LOL.

I will also LOL when UA does not take a knee at any point in this years Iron Bowl.

I would say the odds are far greater that he signs with one of the 4 schools than any school not in that group

Kind of hard for UA players to take a knee while laying flat on their backs...
