AL.com article quote from Alan

quote:

Malzahn will have one last chance to meet with Evans and his family on Saturday when he attends a birthday party at the Evans' home that will include hundreds of friends and family members. It will also feature another guest: Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart.

"They both wanted to be there for the party and we wanted to be able to spend time with both coaches so, I guess they are both going to be there," Alan Evans said. "It might be a little awkward I guess but that's recruiting. We are glad to welcome them both and it should be a great party."

Keith Niebuhr just said the party is after the sit downs with the coaches and Charles Powers said he's unsure if the family knows the plans of the coaches for the event.

So it sounds like both coaches could be at the party.

It has been said it was both places but I understand you need you use that article because it fits your cause but it doesn't matter where the party is. You came back on here full force because you think the Evans are letting Kirby come to the party instead of Gus. The Evans are not going to ruin Grandpa's (Huge Auburn fans) party by inviting a Bama coach and not Gus.

No I don't need to use it for any other reason other than its the plan Alan Evans told AL.com about, could there be a super secret party at AU later on? Sure I don't know that for sure, you don't either

I expect both coaches to be at the party because that is what the article says

Wasn't Alabama the last to visit Matt Elam, as well as his decision being media only?

No because Gus will be hanging out in the back yard and won't leave till Midnight...

Gus will just keep staring at Kirby through the window like this.

No, it is exactly the same. Alabama got last visit and the media was closed to his school selection.

FWIW, I do not think anything that happens today or in the upcoming days even matters.

I was saying it is different because in the end he decided to stay home in Kentucky and Momma didnt wanna see him leave anyway

Evans isn't far enough away like Elam was, going to Bama would still allow a close enough ride home

Don't you find it a little odd that even though the Evans are trying to keep it a secret so he can announce NSD, that they are doing everything they can to hint he is going to Bama? Swapping so a Bama coach gets the last visit (even though he is supposedly pro-bama), the Dad saying he may commit early to Bama because the pressure, and now saying its only for family and media.
