safe pick - Trent Thompson

No idea who will be rated higher at the end, so listed both

Good choices. I'm just going to keep it simple and say "Higher than any of the rest of you plebs will pull in your classes".

I feel good about our chances with Ivey. His main transportation is Cox. If Florida shows improvement, it'll be extremely close. If not, he's all ours IMO

A lot if kids that sign with Alabama just wanna play for Alabama period. Some wanna just play for saban and smart. Some want to play because of the dynasty thing. Some want to play for alabama for the combinations of thing such as stability and other things. Probably the most important thing to heavily recruited and talented kids is the NFL prep. If you have a track record for getting kids in the NFL every year and multiple 1st rounders, those kids are like sign me up. They want millions and championships. That's why Alabama has the number 1 class every year.
And that's why half of them don't play a single meaningful down. An offer from Bama inflates their ego and they think they are the shite; only to rot on sideline.

I always find it interesting that fans really think W-L records dictate a recruits decision to attend that college. Sure, it helps to know that the coach would still be there the next year and it helps to have a more exciting atmosphere during games; but to pretend as if it is the ultimate deciding factor, well that is just the quintessential SEC way of thinking. A kid attends a university based on MUCH more than Wins and Losses; and if that is his sole motivation, it most definitely shouldn't be.

Normally I would agree with you but this year for UF win- loss record is the biggest factor for the upcoming recruiting class because if Muschamp is still around UF will pick up a ton of top talent.

This-- if Florida bounces back and wins 10, this class will be stacked (top 2), if not but we hire a great offensive coach we probably finish decent (top 15), if Boom wins 7 or 8 and isn't fired things crater.

He said on Tuesday that Auburn and Florida were even, and that he wasn't ready to make a decision. It's obvious he really likes both schools, and if he hadn't grown up a fan of the gators, he would possibly already be committed to AU. Cox is pretty obviously a close friend to Ivey, and an important commit for us in his own right. It's going to be really interesting to see how it plays out. A lot of Auburn folks think it will be heavily dependent on how the two schools play this coming season.

supposedly he's told a few people around him that Auburn is slightly ahead of UF and he is definitely tired of the recruiting process. I think he commits by the end of Sept. to Auburn.

I agree with KK. I heard something positive regarding us as well, just yesterday. Let's hope they were right. I would still feel better if Boom stays, but only after a very meh season.

With Garner and Craig, we will pull at least one big name at the end on NSD.

If the offense is improved and Foley extends Muschamp so that everyone knows his future is secure, UF will have a top 5 class, and some sick recruits. Especially at DL, OL, and LB.

Also, keep a eye on Daylon Mack and UF

Hands off
But seriously, when did he start communicating with Florida? I know he is taking an OV there. Not worried right now, but thought it was pretty random.

its good for you guys that he's taking a visit, but I don't think anyone from a&m is freaking out about it. Were just happy it wasn't to Alabama, LSU, or Texas

A&M is in a good place to get both Kendall Sheffield and malik Jefferson so whichever one ends up ranked the highest would be the answer to the OP

lol this is stupid. He's looking real hard at us right now. We've sent 2 d-linemen in the first round the past two years, and about have a third this year, and maybe even a fourth. You should be worried the same as if he was going to those other schools.

As he looked at Miami real hard, as he looked at Texas real hard, as he looked at LSU real hard, as he looked at auburn real hard, and as he looked at Alabama real hard

I'm pretty sure the a&m side of things is not as of now. Can obviously change depending on the visit
