Appreciate your concern, but the person who made the comment and you are answering, is not a Bama fan.

We don't need moral victories, we get the real thing.

Alright frickboys, Patrick Surtain Jr will be making his decision tonight and will inform the different coaching staffs tonight/tomorrow morning. I can only give the LSU perspective on this one, but our staff feels better now than they did a week ago. You Bama fricks have made this one way more stressful than it needed to be.

Which member of the staff did you hear this from?

Never understood the playing in front of family argument. With how supportive his family is, he could go to any of his top choices and play in front of his family. Unless theres a wall bordering in all of louisiana.

If we're all honest he would make an immediate impact at Bama he is a great player but most everyone wants to see him go to Bama because the melts in NSD always provide days of entertainment and it's a long offseason.

There isn't a wall, but apparently Ed is building a really strong fence around the state.

uh he would make an immediate impact at every program in the country, hence why he is ranked the No. 1 corner.

Man, Bama fans sure don't want surtain Jr to come to LSU. Now, you are saying that despite being his leader for 2 years and him not budging on that, lsu isn't even in his final 2? Lol, that's just comical. LSU is and has been the team to beat for him. I see him signing with LSU from everything ive read and how he has stayed true to LSU as his leader. He hasn't said otherwise, and that should tell you something. If he didn't have a leader, why wouldn't he just come out and say it? Wouldn't that be the easiest thing for him to do? He definitely wouldn't disrespect core raymond like that by stuffing it in his face without letting him know about it and go sign another cb right? All he would have to say is after taking my visits, I have no clear leader and will make my decision on signing day right? I just don't see it man, with the confidence our staff has in him signing with LSU. He wouod have let them know if anything had changed and you woukd see us going after another cornerback, like eddie smith, instead, bama and saban are the ones going hard after smith. I believe he told saban he was going to sign with lsu after his bama visit, and saban reacted accordingly. I think he is all LSU and had been for some time. We shall see tomorrow! Geaux tigers!

LSU is deeper at this position than Bama which is why I said what I said.

That. Guy. Is. Not. A. Bama. Fan. Just bc he has Bama in his name does not make him a Bama fan ( the the LSU poster Ih8bama or whatever his name is)

As for real Bama fans not wanting Surtain at LSU it has nothing to do with worry over LSU. It’s bc we want him at Bama. He can go be 0-3 against Bama and leave early and be a top 15 draft pick if he goes to LSU, or he can win championships at Bama and leave after 3 years to be a top 15 draft pick. We want him bc of his talent, but we don’t “fear” him at LSU

So has Raymond been honest with Surtain and other recruits about his looking and interviewing for other jobs, including one wih the Miami Dolphins? Kids can play the game too. Besides, 17-18 year old kids are pretty flaky from minute to minute and really no one knows what the hell they are thinking. I've been in education for 24 years and 15 of those spenting coaching, so I speak from experience. If he signs with BAMA, he makes an immediate impact, same with LSU.

You have a point. I just don't see surtain Jr doing that to coach Raymondb though after the relationship he and his family have built with him over 2 year's of recruiting. They would have at least been honest with him as to where they stand, and it seems he is very confident in landing him. He's already drawing up schemes and plays with surtain Jr in the mix. I know these kids can do some unpredictable stuff on signing day, I just don't see surtain being the one to do that after the history he has with LSU and raymond. I could be wrong and he could sign with bama, but I highly doubt it. I see bama signing Eddie smith and we get surtain jr. Miami isn't even a contender, just a hat on the table.
